Yo le daría un 5 estrellas, si trajera protección frontal de la lámpara... pero no la trae.

Pros: Uses Makita batteries you already have (I am assuming that this is why you would buy it). Light is bright and covers a lot of area just like you would expect from a work light. No cord to get tangled around car parts or building materials. My best use is when you just need the work light but dont want to break out the extension cord for a 5 minute job. Cons: A bit heavier than a standard plug in light, but it is built like a tank. The base doesnt unscrew from the light. I assumed it did with the two screws on each side but they are for adjusting the angle, not breaking it down. Sometimes, if you have two people, you have one person holding the light and it would be easier and lighter without the base.

This is a heavy unit, even without the battery -- Net weight well over 10 lbs. Brightness on HIGH matches up to a cheap, imported wall-powered LED stand light. The worst part is the power cord which shimmies loose with the slightest repositioning. At an eighth of an inch out this loose junk is already not making contact. Plugging it in again requires pressing power switches again. With an LXT battery installed, it flashes to indicate transition from wall-power to battery, but thats just irritating. I’ve used this light maybe two hours and feel like slamming it against the floor. The power cord connection is so bad Im thinking of JB Welding it permanently into the unit. FOR A $130+ FLASHLIGHT youd expect something that doesnt hurt your arms carrying it or frustrate the hell out of you plugging it in. Its only good on battery. Otherwise, build quality is way subpar to normal Makita tools.

Decent light, brightness normal on high mode. Just tested light with original 5 amp battery on brightest mode and got 2.5 hours run time. When battery is low it doesnt shut off completely and leaves 1 led on, so if you working in complete darkness thats a great option.

After reading the very few reviews for this newly released product, I thought this light would be very bright. At full power (3000 Lumens) it is equivalent to about two 100 watt incandescent bulbs, which is not very bright. For less than $90 more, you can buy the Makita DML809 (10,000 Lumens) which is over three times as bright. Spend the extra money and buy the DML809 on Amazon. This low power 3000 Lumens light seems to be very will built and well designed, but for the large size it is, the light brightness (lumens) is very unimpressive. I would need several to properly light up a 15 ft. X 15 ft. room to see good details for painting, or working on my tractor outside. Im sending this back to exchange for the Makita DML809 higher lumens model.

Only disappointment was the snap on filter didn’t spread the light more. At least as bright as a 500W halogen.

The light is very bright. The 5.0 battery is a must have for longer use. Ive used it for projects and camping.

I’m not that impressed with it. For its size and slight bulkiness it should be brighter. I believe I’m gonna send it back. I’m not sure I want to spend 270 on the next model up but I know it’s bulkiness I could deal with for how bright it is. I’m a bit bummed this thing should be brighter. I wanted it as a work light and to shoot videos and I don’t think this light will work for either.
