I’m a Makita fan. I have lots of 18v tools. I bought this light and wasn’t really happy with the brightness. I have another light that is compatible with different batteries; makita, porter cable, Dewalt, ryobi, and another brand. Has DC cord as well. I also purchased it on Amazon. That light is brighter than this Makita. I felt is was too big, (beefy looking) for the lack of brightness. Kinda felt left down. There is another model similar to this one for about $100 more. I’m going to try that one. I don’t think this was worth it. Already returned.

My initial impression is high quality but bulky. Im a little concerned the lense could be damaged easily as there is no guarding. However, I found the diffuser gives it some added protection and it helps distribute the light. The versatility of having a battery or power cord option is nice. Id love to see this light have the ability to charge the battery and a USB ports to charge a cell phone on the job. As I was looking for a good place to store the light, I found installing a hook to the wall it makes an amazing light for the work bench. As far as size, its much larger than other work lights. You wont have to worry about this thing getting knocked over. I wouldnt recommend putting this on a tripod especially with a battery. It would be extremely top heavy. It may be hard to see how bright the light is in the photo but it is bright especially if you take it into a large area. It had no problem illuminating a good portion of my backyard. Id definitely recommend buying this light. Hope this helps!

I use this light for illuminating areas inside of buildings that are being renovated. The light has three brightness settings which are appropriate for different lighting needs. The light is sturdy but there are shortcomings that will make you wish that you bought another product. The two 6ah batteries dont last very long on the brightest setting and the lower settings arent bright enough to illuminate a work area. You will need to plug the light into an AC outlet. Plugging the light in would work if the power cord stayed connected to the light. It falls out every time you touch the cord or move the light. The batteries then power the LEDS and run down without you even knowing you are running on the batteries. The light is just awkward to use because it is designed to sit on the floor or a table. No good way to elevate it so you are constantly being blinded by the light shining up at you. Buy something else. There are lots of better options.

If you want bright, this is the one for sure. Its a little bigger than i expected, but thats my fault, all in all this is one beautiful piece of equipment.

Its bright. It can last for hours. Im happy with it. I wish it was a little smaller but its cool. Its like the size of a miniature TV from the 80s.
