Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Nintendo Switch

This review is coming from someone who has not played Mario Kart since the Nintendo 64 version was out so keep that in mind. With that being said I do believe it’s missing something. I love the gameplay for battle mode and the races are definitely fun and its awesome that they have expanded the carts and the characters you can play with so now you have way more options of racers and carts. That being said, I think they should have 4x the levels on the game. This is a $60 game and half of the tracks are just a regurgitated version of the previous games. The nostalgia is cool and all but I believe there should be all of the retro levels and a bunch of new ones included with this title. Also there are only 4 or 5 levels that you can play in battle mode. I love this game and its been a blast but I think you can play all there is to play in one day. Given the fact that Xbox and PlayStation are releasing their new games at the same cost, there should be way more bang for the buck on this game rather than just a nostalgia factor.

Love it! The five stars almost dont feel like enough. Everything about this game is fun, and the challenges keep coming with new moods exclusive to the Nintendo Switch! If you have ever played MarioKart before, this is more of the same - fast, fun, and never-ending excitement. I dont think your the person I need to sell on this. If you have never played Mario Kart, and you have a Nintendo Switch...I mean, what are you waiting for??? Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is not just another racing game - you race underwater, through the skies, upside down, through a toybox; there is so much to see and do and learn here. Plus, there is a learning curve, and the game is designed to help you become a better racer gradually, while still letting you take home the Gold cup. Single player is great, and playing this on the go with the Switch is ideal because each race is never longer than 5 minutes total. You could easily power it up in the doctors waiting room and probably finish a few Cups before being called back. And the multiplayer is great! There are other features designed to help even the odds between veterans and new-comers. From the Grand Prix to the Battles, its anyones game to win! The online is much more challenging, but after completing all the 150cc cups with Gold, you should be set to take anyone on. If you have a Nintendo Switch and dont have Mario Kart 8, you should question why you bought it in the first place.

This game is very entertaining. We bought for the kids but my wife and I play it more than them. Lol

One of my specialties is playing Mario Kart. Ive been playing most of my life, and this game already looked good even though I originally had it on the Wii U. It is still worth it, but that is what I think. Others might not. If you like, or even love Nintendo products, this is the game for you. If youre just now trying out games, still is a pretty good pick to buy. If you do not like the racing and competitive genres of games, then maybe do not buy this. Overall, multiplayer is fun, online is fun, and I have been playin since I got it!

I am not a gamer, but I love playing Mario Kart. Even if I get my character handed to me when I get worst place, because of getting stomped by my husband, its a fantastic game. We purchased the Switch and Mario Kart and on Christmas morning, it was game on. Fun for all ages. Nothing negative to say. Grew up playing the SNES mario kart. Its come a long way. Highly recommend.

So the works well no issues there but wasnt expecting the case to be as damage the clear plastic that holds the slave was missing they just poorly taped the cover to the case. Lol It was a Birthday gift. Again game works and is in fine shape so that the important thing.

Everything that made the Wii U original game great is present here (as it is a boosted port) and the amount of content and gameplay is sure to have you coming back time and time again. Paired with the easy accessibility of the Switch and the simple controls, this game is a perfect fit for the casual or hardcore gamer, and potentially the most accessible and fun the Mario Kart series has ever been. My favorite feature personally has been the worldwide online races, where 12 people from all around the globe race against one another on tracks voted on by the players. Not to mention the various other modes to keep you entertained both offline and online. If youre looking for games to add to your Switch collection or picking one up for the first time, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is an amazing game through and through.

I grew up in the 90s Nintendo era. Duck Hunt and Mario Kart were where it was at. Mario Kart 8 does an incredible job of being new and staying true at the same time. I can play it for hours! This game is a must have, along with Mario Brothers Deluxe.
