Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Nintendo Switch

> 3 dayIf you have a Switch, theres no reason not to have this game. With the exception of items (blue shells, the bane of every Kart race), this game is as pure as Mario Kart gets. 200cc is stupid hard but rewarding for longtime fans. There is a lot of options in terms of racers and kart options but I played this game for the Wii U, and they are have worn out on me (Link is cool, the Hyrule and F-zero tracks are awesome). There are also assist options for beginners which is nice since it lets them stay in the race but skill will always win. A great game and a great entry in the franchise. Now if we could get Super Smash Bros deluxe....

> 3 dayThis game is great! As a huge childhood Nintendo fan that has lost touch with them since the Gamecube, the visuals and new stuff added to MK8Deluxe is incredible. The old maps are redone so well, but kept the charm (looking at you Rainbow Road!) of the original maps I remember. Played this game with a friend and I havent had that much fun playing multiplayer in years. Also nice to know I kept my green shell sniping skills all these years. Ill skip out on Overwatch to get blue shelled into 8th place any day.

> 3 dayGreat game, but its much like the first one. The differences incude: 60 fps and 1080p, three new battle modes, two new items, you can hold two items at the same time- which be helpful. You also get a few new cart items but nothing too big. Great game but might not be worth the upgrade if you have the first one. If you didnt get the Wii U version of this game it will be a great game for you. But if you did it might just be worth it for the new battle modes.

> 3 dayIm giving this 4 stars only because of a glitch that causes one remote (a different one, depending on which you use to start the game) to ALWAYS lose its ability to use the tilt control steering. Its a software glitch and happened after we updated the games software. Very, very disappointing. BUT, it is the most awesome and fun game I have ever played. The graphics are out of this world. From ages 5 to 43, our whole family loves this game.

> 3 dayThis is a game for the whole family! My preteens actually ask us to play with them. Fun to play and easy to learn the gameplay.

> 3 dayOne of the main reasons I purchased a Nintendo Switch aside from its hybrid functionality is its ease of playing with others and enjoying a variety of game experiences. Mario Kart offers such awesome experience that its perfect for a married couple. My wife and I constantly play together when we can and truly have fun! The game itself is very colorful and runs smoothly no matter how you decide to play. Its easy to pick-up and play for newcomers or people that are not into video games yet it also offers challenging modes for veterans of the series. My only 2 gripes for the game itself is the character roster as well as unlockables or lack there of. The roster is comprised of some familiar faces but I wish there was more variety. It feels as if the koopa characters and other costume/baby variants of characters are fillers. It would have been nice to see characters from other franchises similar to super smash bros. That brings me into the second point which is the absence of unlockables. From the start all the characters and courses are available to you. The only items you are able to unlock are parts to customize your ride but I wish other forms of rewards were introduced such as more characters, courses, and an achievement list. Despite the two drawbacks of the game this is the definitive edition and it does not take away from the overall experience of having a great time playing with other people. It is easily a must own game the defines what the Nintendo Switch is all about!

Greater than one weekI bought this as a gift for my son and it’s just as fun as when I played on N64. Great quality, no funny business.
