Love it! The five stars almost dont feel like enough. Everything about this game is fun, and the challenges keep coming with new moods exclusive to the Nintendo Switch! If you have ever played MarioKart before, this is more of the same - fast, fun, and never-ending excitement. I dont think your the person I need to sell on this. If you have never played Mario Kart, and you have a Nintendo Switch...I mean, what are you waiting for??? Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is not just another racing game - you race underwater, through the skies, upside down, through a toybox; there is so much to see and do and learn here. Plus, there is a learning curve, and the game is designed to help you become a better racer gradually, while still letting you take home the Gold cup. Single player is great, and playing this on the go with the Switch is ideal because each race is never longer than 5 minutes total. You could easily power it up in the doctors waiting room and probably finish a few Cups before being called back. And the multiplayer is great! There are other features designed to help even the odds between veterans and new-comers. From the Grand Prix to the Battles, its anyones game to win! The online is much more challenging, but after completing all the 150cc cups with Gold, you should be set to take anyone on. If you have a Nintendo Switch and dont have Mario Kart 8, you should question why you bought it in the first place.

We love this game! Our family has the best time playing together. Lots of ways to make it more or less challenging for different family members- adaptive steering, speed of the race, etc.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has many games that work with the Nintendo Switch. Both of my grand children have them. They also wanted to get the headsets and hand controls. Now they can play there games while logged into the WIFI and talk to each other while playing the games. There are many games that I have bought for the Nintendo switch for my grandkids. They play them all the time. Sometimes I find them on the internet and play the games with them. Way to fast for me. I always loose.

Seriously, who doesnt love mario cart. Ever since SNES I have loved this game. I like that it incorporates tracks from previous versions of the game. I especially LOVE the auto driving and steering features (you can disable these as well) so my 5 year old can play along without taking 26 minutes to finish a round... Sometimes she even places high in the rankings. This is a HUGE plus so thank you Nintendo. Lastly, this works great on the switch and I love that you can play so many different ways (I.e. consule screen, tv screen, multiplayer, motion controlled or regular button control). Really satisfied with this purchase.

If you played Mario Kart 8 for Wii U, then you know that this is the best racing game on the series. With brilliant graphics, endless kart customizations, and numerous old and new courses to choose from, this is a no-brainer for the Switch. Since it is the Deluxe version, all of the DLC characters and cups are included leaving you only with kart customizations to unlock. That is very generous and makes it easy to just turn on and play from the get go. The new and old Battle modes were missing from the Wii U version and definitely bring new excitement to the multiplayer experience. I would comment on the Switch to Switch LAN type plan, but I dont know anyone else with a Switch. Regardless, this is a must have multiplayer game for your console.

Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun! This game is money well spent, people. If you have a Nintendo Switch, and youre also a Mario fan, get this game now! Theres many great characters to choose from, and you can customize your kart. If you get some achievements done youll unlock more things to deck out your vehicle with. I grew up playing Mario Kart 64, and my favorite track from there was Rainbow Road. They have it in this one, too, and its spectacular! Its even more fun playing with friends as well!

I think this is more on Amazon for not damaging the item during the packing process and focusing more on getting the numbers out of the building. I’m a collector who used to work for Amazon and was not happy with the way my product was delivered. $60 game and can’t even have it delivered decently. Not to mention I literally just called and requested a refund on another package for being two days late so it looks like I have to sit this one out and not pester for another. The game is fine but the case was crushed. Definitely not satisfied.

Really great gaming experience. Smooth as butter, great music, fun sound effects, very immersive. Weve come a long way from Kart 64. I havent really played much video games since the N64 (skipped both the Wii and WiiU, so I kinda feel like an old man jumping back into the World of Nintendo). Its made me feel like a kid again, and with how much stress Ive been under these last few years with my health... thats a pretty big deal to me. Thank you, Nintendo. You guys are still making quality gaming experiences, and now I get to share it with my niece and nephews, which makes it 100x better. Take care. -Ken Jones, OKC, OK

The game is fun, looks awesome, controls are awesome, its Mario Cart! My only complaint is the frequency of items during races. You can be the best cart racer in the world and still lose!!! One minute youre in 1st place perfectly drifting making Zero mistakes. Then bam you get hit by a blue shell, then another blue shell, then maybe a couple of red shells all in a row! You go from 1st, all the way to 5th even 10th all because of things out of your control. The better you race the worst items you get from randomized weapon boxes, meanwhile people in dead last are pumbling you with Shells and other items. I wish there was a game mode where Items werent aloud aside from custom matches. The items make this game unplayable for me, I cant be competitive in a game that screws you for playing well. Seriously.......... what were they thinking with the items? I returned it Ill wait for the next Mario Cart thats more balanced because the weapon/item balancing in this game is atrocious and broken in my opinion. This isnt an exaggeration, go ahead and get it if you dont care about losing because of things that are out of your control. Frustrating, I really wanted to like it, I tried..................

Listen, if youve ever played a Mario Kart game then you know what youre getting into. Its Mario Kart, but it looks better than ever. It includes the 4 cups from the original games DLC, bringing the total tracks available to 48. Nintendo is also releasing a $25 DLC that is adding an additional 48 tracks, doubling the base games size. Its a bargain. If you enjoyed unlocking characters, I have some bad news for you--theyre all unlocked from the start. The only secret character is Gold Mario, which you can get from getting a gold trophy in all the 200cc grand prix. And the 200cc is available right when you boot up the game for the first time. Kind of a letdown if you like unlockables. Kart options unlock as you collect more coins through gameplay. This maxes at 5000 coins and gives you a golden glider. If you beat the 150cc and Mirror Mode (available as soon as you boot up the game for the first time) you get a golden kart. If you beat the staff ghosts in the 150cc time trials you get golden wheels. I was skeptical at first, but listen... its Mario Kart. Its just fun. You wont regret buying it.
