> 3 dayI play this game a lot. Mario Kart is a great series to play when you just want to relax, and dont want to strain your brain with puzzles, or get frustrated with a really difficult game. Pros: Bright, colorful, cartoon like graphics. Lots of different tracks. Lots of characters to choose from. Customizable vehicles. Unlockable vehicles. Different kinds of vehicles. 4 different racing speeds. Single player, and online player. Cons: The only cons I can think of is that it doesnt have all the tracks from all the Mario Kart games, and it doesnt have the two person vehicles of Mario Kart: Double Dash. Overall this is one of the best games ever made.

> 3 dayIts been out for a while and its definitely cheapest on Amazon for $49 new rather than the regular $60 it sells for. The game is very fun though, and while it can be solo, if you really want to test your skills online is always an option

> 3 dayAs a Wii U owner, I was disappointed when Nintendo announced Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Nintendo Switch, a port of Mario Kart 8 for Wii U. I bought Mario Kart 8 and all its DLC, only to be greeted by this! Nonetheless, I decided to purchase the game to strengthen my game library. (The 20% discount from pre-ordering through Amazon Prime helped sweeten the deal.) Now that I have played the game, I decided to review it so I could tell everyone every major thing that is new in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (MK8D), and, if you owned the Wii U version of Mario Kart 8 (MK8U), whether I think its worth the upgrade...and the $60. Note: if you arent a MK8U owner but own the Nintendo Switch, then stop reading this review and buy MK8D! It is a must-have in the MK family. The game will be a brand new experience for you, and you will love it! Now let me tell you about all the major changes in MK8D. - The game runs at default 1080p and 60 fps in TV Mode, in contrast to the Wii Us default 720p. (In Handheld and Tabletop modes it is reduced to 720p. When there are 3 or 4 players, it is reduced to 30 fps.) - You can play MK8 ANYWHERE, with ANYONE, at ANYTIME! - All DLC from MK8U is included in MK8D. - Every thing is unlocked from the start, except car parts and Gold Mario. - You can now hold two items at once, which was one of my favorite elements of Mario Kart: Double Dash!! The Double item box also returns from Double Dash. - There are two new items: Boo and Feather, which is exclusive to Battle mode. - There is a third level of mini-turbo, called Ultra Mini-turbo and represented by purple sparks. - Smart Steering is an optional feature that prevents you from falling off the track. Auto Accelerate is also an optional feature that causes your kart to accelerate automatically. (These features can be set to on/off for each individual player.) - There are 5 new characters: King Boo, Bowser Jr., Dry Bones, Inkling Girl, and Inkling Boy. (You can also unlock Gold Mario, a variant of Metal Mario.) - The battle mode has been completely revamped,(Because Wii U owners know that MK8Us battle mode sucked.) and may I say, it is STELLAR!!! This is the greatest Battle Mode ever! Even people who say that Battle Mode isnt their favorite will (probably) LOVE this! Battle across 1 of 8 Battle arenas in 1 of 5 different modes: Pop balloons in Balloon Battle, catch the renegades or dodge the law in Renegade Roundup, be greedy in Coin Runners, throw bombs in Bob-omb Blast, and steal and flee in Shine Thief. And thats everything new in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe! So the question is... is MK8 worth purchasing a second time? The answer is YES! Even though I dont like when developers make a do-over of a game, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is tolerable. I docked a star just because its a port and its $60, but other than that its great (but if Nintendo makes a Super Smash Bros. 4 port Im gonna lose it...).

> 3 dayMario Kart 8 deluxe has the same racing courses as on the WiiU, but they made a few changes that greatly improved the game. Battle This was the biggest, best change they made. Instead of driving aimlessly through regular courses hoping you pass someone, they have created battle-specific courses, making battle more intense. There are 5 different modes in battle: balloon battle, coin runner, renegade roundup, ba-bomb blast, and shine thief. All are great. Our family favorite is Renegade Roundup. Beginner mode They have added two new features that make this game more bearable while playing with small children. You can turn on your rc (at least thats what we call it. It gives you an antenna that makes your kart look like an RC car). This will make it so you cannot fall off the track. If you have this on, the game doesnt allows you to take some of the secret shortcuts. They also have an auto accelerator. This makes it so you do not have to push the gas the entire race. We were hesitant to buy this because its basically the same as the WiiU version, but their improvements made it worth the money.

04-12-2024I know this is basically a port from Wii U but it is still a family favorite. Nothing like my wife, son and myself sitting down dueling it out. Graphics are great, controls work well and the game no matter you are playing is just fun. Easy to learn for our young kid! I love the nostalgia as the game uses old levels from different versions, some of my favorites included which makes it that more fun! Lots of characters to pick from! A game that never gets boring!
