Greater than one weekIt was always an excellent movie. The reviewers that are complaining that they replaced Bob Segars music with Bruce Springsteens have it backwards. Bogdanavich did the movie WITH the Springsteen music and its perfect. There was a lot of arguing over paying for the rights so the STUDIO changed it to Bob Segar. It ticked of Bogdanovich for years and he demanded that they change it back for this release. The songs like Promised Land really fit with Rockys battles.

07-06-2025I remember seing this tearjerker back in 85 on video only because Im an Elliott fan, but quite surprisingly, ended up liking it. (-Mostly because it features Lynyrd Skynyrd on the soundtrack, actually.) A heartwarming story about the troubled life of a biker-mom (!) and her different son vs. the world. Though based on a true story, much of the action is naturally (over)played for dramatic effect. Its certainly Chers finest moment, and Stoltz showed an acting talent he hasnt shown since. (-Apart from The Fly 2, of course.) Stoltzs friend by the way, is that annoying kid who got neck-knifed in Friday The 13th, Part 4. If you like movies that make you cry at the end and happy its not your life, then youll want this DVD for your collection.
