Mask: Directors Cut

I have Loved the movie for many years! Bought this without realizing it was a Directors Cut!!! So disappointed!! They took out several Bob Seger songs and replaced them with Bruce Springsteen songs! Totally ruined the movie for me!! Have not been able to find the original version!! What gets in a Directors mind to do such a thing is beyond me but I have learned my lesson and will not buy a Directors Cut of a movie ever again!!

Mask Dvd,,,is a very true life situation.Mama,is a hippie.And the daddy is a biker.The kid grows up in a biker family....The little boy has a birth defect on his face...That leads to a life time struggle of not fitting in to society..But ends up doing o.k.!!!Its a good movie i enjoyed it very much...Though I did cry a lot in the movie.At times its sad....

Movie Sucks with Springsteen Music..Much better with Bob Seger Music..Should never have changed it...

I ordered this DVD after having watched this movie on cable for many years. I wasnt aware that Bob Segers songs such as Katmandu and Rock n Roll Never Forgets were not the songs originally used in this movie. This DVD version plays Bruce Springsteen songs. I love Springsteen but in this movie, I kinda liked Bob Segers music better. I was a bit disappointed.

the original version is BETTER. bob segers music meshes alot better than bruce springsteens. i found the old version on VHS at a thrift store for .99, and bought an old vcr at the that same thrift store just to watch it. thats how much i hated the new version, even if it is on dvd and much easier to find. anyway, screw the directors cut and watch the original release, if you can find it.

I just purchased this DVD again The Directors Cutalthough the added scenes and the Peter Bogdanovich interview are fantastic Bruce Springsteen replacing Bob Seger as the core sountrack singer SUCKS!!!!Bob Seger added punch,drive,and a helluva lot more emotion.Springsteen playing in the background is only an annoyance.I like Springsteen but Seger Belongs on this film....Ill watch this latest DVD edition for the extras(scenes&interview)but for a night at the movies..Itll most certainly be Me,Cher,and BOB SEGER!
