> 3 dayA very long time ago I used Mastercook and then switched over to Living Cook because their software was so much easier to utilize. Then came the day when LC disappeared and I had nearly 2K of recipes that I could not access. I read that Mastercook would convert those recipes so I bought it. Big mistake. You have to send your recipes to their customer service department if the conversion process didnt work. It didnt. What a pain!! Then came the problem of trying to simply print out a recipe onto a 5x8 card. The convoluted steps I had to go through for each recipe has completely soured me on Mastercook. The best I could do for printing is portrait and I prefer landscape. I have been so completely disgusted by this software that I no longer try to use it for collecting recipes. Why bother. I just use it for the recipes that do not have nutritional information. So I am once more looking for new software.

> 3 dayThis software is very, very unstable. Yes they will convert your recipes into the offline component but offline is not connected to online version. Online version really does NOTHING. They are looking for you to pay for software and annual fee to fund their development effort. The offline portion looks and works exactly like their version 8, recipe views are so small in printt format you cannot use your laptop to read recipes. You will need to print them.

> 3 dayI finally installed the software from the disk (purchased the software right before my father passed away and forgot about afterward) and opened an account with them to find out that it did not come with an activation code. I feel cheated! I wasted my money for nothing!

> 3 dayI had a problem with windows 10 interaction and reported it to Master Cook. They resolved the issue by contacting Microsoft and working with their development team and kept me informed throughout the process. Love the program and the support that comes with it.

> 3 dayThis software requires ongoing investment without providing modern functionality. As other reviews have mentioned, the program looks like a relic from the 90s. I owned 8.0 and paid to “upgrade” to 15.0. There were no new features, the print layouts were still archaic, and the glitches with web imports and other basic tasks remained. In the years between 8.0 and 15.0, the only observable change was a “home” screen that allowed you to navigate between online (paid) account access and your pc. The site previously advertised free web accounts but has since changed to requiring all accounts to pay a subscription. Clearly the company has received many complaints from unhappy customers as there are repeated references to the product being non-refundable. There is no place on the site where customers can provide feedback/reviews. Further, the tech support in my experience was snippy and rude.

> 3 dayI purchased this item to record and print my recipes. After a great deal of work, I was finally able to get the program to display the recipes as I wanted them displayed. All I wanted was a list of the ingredients over a list of the steps to create the recipe. I also wanted this information in sufficiently large type that I could easily read it. This is not much to ask for, but it took about four hours to create this format. Then, when I went to print the recipe it would not follow the format that I had created. Instead, the program had its own format that was not at all like what I had formatted for the recipes in which it printed the recipe. If I wanted to have my recipes printed in the format I had designed I would need to spend more time formatting the printing template. At that point, I decided I would simply design my own recipe program using Word and Excel. It is much easier and cheaper that MasterCook. Do not waste your money on this product.
