> 3 dayI have used Mastercook for close to 20 years. Every few years I have looked around at other software to see if anything better is out there. I even tried a couple that sounded promising but in the end I have always come back to Mastercook. In my opinion this is what sets them apart:

> 3 dayI ordered this update for my father for Christmas and had many questions while ordering since I am not familiar with the program. My dad loves this program and he wanted an update. The customer service was exceptional and they got back and answered my questions within the hour. Thanks again and cant wait for my dad to get this updated program for Christmas.

18-04-2025So tired of crap applications. As a professional developer I see no reason to be required to connect to an internet site to store MY recipes--I have had three recipe databases and inevitably the recipes get lost. Either due to the company going out of business, poor upgrade procedures, or lost account. This is just ridiculous. Online storage and access should be a feature not a requirement.

> 3 dayI used a couple different versions of this software. Wanted to upgrade to the version. This was the previous version at a great price. So I got this instead. Now I will work on getting all my family recipes in once place. No more books, cards and sheets of paper or post it notes flying around. I can even scan the original recipe and store the picture in the recipe too.

> 3 dayStill trying to figure it out. Made the switch from Living Cookbook, since it seems to be a dead product. The nutritional database is poor. They use the USDA nutritional database, but the user is unable to manually update it - you have to wait for Mastercook to send an update, or buy the latest version.

> 3 dayI have used Master Cook, currently v.15, for a long time. Their support is absolutely great. Always fast and very helpful. I am very concerned about an email blast I received from MC about their 2020 version due out soon after the first of the year. It is being listed as a $175.00/year subscription for the personal version. And the email had a Black Friday deal of 35% off to make it $113.75/ year. I am unclear if that includes their cloud hosting although it must because all their versions share their data from the cloud. I emailed them with questions about ongoing support for v15 and Pams reply was:

> 3 dayThis version of MasterCook replaced an older version. My only problem is that the images I use in the recipes disappear and are replaced by a Pictures on CD statement. That is most aggravating when you have as many recipes as I do. While customer service has tried to help, nothing has worked.

> 3 dayThis Computerized format for organizing my recipes for my family has proven to be very effective. I have looked into it, and most companies want you to purchase several copies for resale to others for a profit, but I have just been interested in putting some old recipes from my family together in a format that would allow me to print them out and put in a binder of my choice, and create as many as 1 or more without having to sign a contract for 100 or more for publishing. Very easy to navigate within formats provided and can plug nutritional information and other pertinent information on each recipe. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to do a small version or prototype without publishing. Very Nice ..

> 3 dayWhat I didnt like was it would not load on my laptop. Had to have a tech load on thumb drive for it to work.
