I needed to save my iTunes music library from my Windows PC so I could transfer it to an iMac. It worked perfectly and had plenty of storage for my needs. Easy to use, sleek and light weight. Great price.

I transferred my PS4 games to this HDD to save space on the internal storage. It gave a warning that it might be too slow to play games properly, but of the games Ive bench tested it works fine. For 30 dollars if was a cheap and effective way to add a little space until I can get the cash for a large internal SSD upgrade. The only down side is it took an hour to transfer everything over, but I dont hold that against a disc drive: its going to do that. This is a solid budget option though.

The drive was DOA, I received excellent customer support and they replaced the drive without incident. However, after forensically wiping the drive and formatting it to exFAT, as noted in the product description, the drive would not mount on my Linux box, nor be recognized by Windows. I kept getting a bad super blocker or no helper file error. I changed the formatting to NTFS and Ext4 with no change in the error. I then formatted it to FAT and it was finally able to work. FAT is only referenced in the product description when you view the Compare to other products when viewed in Amazon. FAT has a 4GB limitation on files so its odd to market this as a backup external drive especially for Gamers, and worthless for encryption purposes since you now have to wipe 3-5, 5-7 times to overwrite the physical disk (depending on your sources). For what I need it for, it will suffice, although I will not be purchasing this product again moving forward. Inconsistences with the reported format and USB interface. USB 3.0 and exFAT on the product description main page. USB 1.1 and FAT on the comparison table. 3 year warranty is also worth noting.

Words cannot describe how excited and ready I was to receive this item. I literally have been looking for the perfect external hard drive, and this one is absolutely stunning!!! Its cute and compact. I legit took it right out of the box, connected it to my laptop, and started using it to transfer files from my old thumb drive. I do wish it was more of a metallic gold, but thats just a personal preference. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone and definitely buy it again.

I ordered this to transfer photos from my IPhone to my PC laptop that is too old to do much other than store data. The instructions for the harddrive were non- existent and while I managed to fish my way through transferring onto it from my phone I needed tech support to help locate the drive on my laptop. Turns out it was installed in a weird folder and once found I was able to proceed. Would have liked a more user friendly PRINTED instruction manual
