This item was literally a snap to install. I used a rubber mallet to remove the old unit and the same mallet to tap the new one in.

Fit perfectly, worked perfectly.

Looks and feels like OEM part. Works well, no complain for 2005 solar.

Old part allowed hood to slam shut. New part eliminated the problem. Works great!

So far so good. I’m not under the hood that often but it been on my Toyota Solara for 2 1/2 years now and my car only uses one let’s hope it hangs in there another 20 years. The car its self will. These cars are well built. Mines an 07 with 3.3V-6 just a wonderful car. Looks like two reviews in one.
