Bought a year ago, easy to install still works great

Exact fit for our 2007 Toyota Solara. 10 minute install. Toughest part is learning to slide the retaining clips up and NOT OUT of the socket housings.

Quick installation

Very easy to install. Took only 2 minutes to do. My old strut couldn’t hold it’s position & now, I don’t have to worry about the hood falling on my head every time I work on my car.

Great buy

The strut is very nice but not that easy to install. Once I took out the old one I could see how it was susposed to go but it looks like a Toyota shop would have a special purpose tool to pull out the metal band that holds the end of the strut to the ball attached to the car. I was able use a screw driver to lever up the band to release the ball and then tap the new band down to grip the ball. The new part is pretty much exactly like the original and It seems to work very nicely.
