Purchased for my 2004 Solara good support. It was simple to replace, good lighting helps with the removal of the worn unit. Should have done this years ago instead of using a 1/2 PVC pipe to hold up the hood. Good buy.

Fit my 2007 Solara

Simple repair with any small flat edged tool. New strut has plenty of power to lift the hood & hold it in place. Pretty much all youd expect from this part. Quality replacement of the original.

Toyota charges 117.46 for this part. (I never got to how much to install). This heavier duty part was 25.99 plus tax. And took about two minutes to install. The piston is so strong I had to push down on the!! hood to latch it. 100% buy THIS!!! OK, I DONT HAVE A CLUE ABOUT ITS LONGEVITY, BUT IS HEAVIER THAN THE ORIGIONAL.
