What a neat little package. Very accurate while providing so much information. Compared info with a calibrated Bird 43 meter and it was right on to say nothing about the cost comparison! Very, very pleased with this unit and having N type connectors shows that the maker is quality oriented.

I just received my SW-102 from Amazon Warehouse. The box was damaged but the meter and accessories are fine. Ive tried it at 146.52 MHz into a lab-grade 50 ohm load it it measured 1:1, just as it should. With a 75 ohm load it measured 2.02:1. Not just an SW meter, its a frequency counter, too. When transmitting the meter displays the freq in MHz. The meter offers the ability to adjust the SWR , power, and frequency counter display so if you have, for example a 50 ohm dummy load that you know is exactly 50 ohms restive impedance its simple to adjust the meters display to exactly 1:1 in 1% increments. The same adjustments can be made to power and frequency. This is a

It is easy to hookup and run. Battery stays charged for a long time, instrument shuts down automatically after a few minutes saving battery charge.

I ordered the model with N connectors and that was my mistake, however, it does come with Adapters. I had trouble with the supplied adapters giving false readings like crazy high SWR readings on a known good antenna and coax. I replaced both adapters and problems solved. The meter is touchy to use but it is accurate enough once you get the adapter problem resolved. I would NOT recommend changing the settings in its menu unless you know exactly what you are doing. Its not badly made but the display is hard to see outside in bright sunlight. One thing it is very touchy as in you have to lay it down, not touch it when you are getting readings because if you hold it that can change the readings enough to give you a false reading. It is sensitive to say the least!

This little bugger works perfectly, amazing I did not buy it sooner. Showed I had a serious SWR issue because my antenna is tuned 10MHz off.. Even shows transmit frequency. One issue as noted in the user manual: the power meter reading is only accurate when you connect a 50 Ohms terminator, not when transmitting through an antenna.

Power and frequency are credible, but VSWR (SWR) is pretty much stuck at 1.00. A 50 Ohm load reads 1.00 as expected. A 61 Ohm load should read 1.22, but instead also reads 1.00. Two antennas which read 1.3~1.5 on other much more expensive meters (cross-needle) read 1.00~1.05. In exasperation, I very briefly tried open, which read 19.99 which I presume is full scale. So something is going on--just nothing useful. The replacement had exactly the same symptoms. Too bad. Its a cute little job and I would have been happy with pretty much any reasonable accuracy. The cross-needles are very nice on a desk, but this would have been great in the field.

Easy to hook up and use. Came with a plate to provide a ground plane for handhelds and a battery charge cord. Make sure the adapters you need are right before ordering!

This meter is a must to check the tx frequency and power output. I definitely recommend this to ensure the SWR and frequency tuning.
