> 24 hourA must have for home brewers and those with kegerators. Keep your O-Rings from binding and in good condition. A little goes a long way. With a very thing coating on the O-Rings it makes tapping your keg much easier and keeps the O-Rings from binding reducing the chance of leaks. Improves the life of O-Rings. Makes it easier to attache hoses to barb fittings tail peaces etc. Use when reassembling beer faucets to keep the O-Rings in good shape so they seal and dont leak. Use very sparingly all that is needed is a light coating just enough to give a sheen wipe off any excess and a tube will last for ever.

> 24 hourI bought this sanitary lubricant for relubricating my new slicer after cleaning and reassembly. 4 ounces doesnt sound like a lot, and the tube doesnt look that big in the photo. Rest assured, its HUGE; a lifetime supply for home users! The tube is fully 6 long, not counting the cap. This is a food-grade grease thats USDA-approved for incidental food contact. Its clear white, odorless, and about the consistency of Vaseline, maybe a little softer. Its clean, non-staining, and stable in long-term storage, unlike vegetable, olive or tropical oils that soon turn rancid. Ive found it also works well in our Kitchen Aid stand mixers and the O-rings in marinade injectors.

> 24 hourI was looking for some lubricant for our kitchen faucet as I have run out of the little tubes that come with some repair kits. I didnt want to get a container because I prefer not to stick or drop anthing in and have contamination. Figure I get a large tube that can be useful for a variety of applications. Squeeze out whats needed, the rest inside stays clean. This lubricant is labeled Sanitary Petrol-Gel Lubricant. The tube states it is WHITE but its really just CLEAR. The tube claims its absolutely tasteless and odorless. I can confirm it is odorless, the tasteless part...Ill let you determine that. On the back of the tube, helpful hints on uses; valves, pistons, O rings, gaskets, sanitary pumps, glides, slide mechanisms. Also states for Food Plant use. As well as the disclaimer - where contact with food is only incidental. Im sure that is requested by the lawyers to mean dont go expecting to use this as oil to cook your favorite food. There are times when 4 ounces dont sound like much, like in a bag of candy or a drink but in this case, 4 oz looks to appear enough for 4 generations of families or 40 generations, if you dont lose it or misplace it first. Oh, and on a final note, I dont know if this is also THAT kind of lubricant if you know what I mean. Not that I have tested or anything, just throwing that out there in case anyone thinks I wonder if.... On a final final note. Getting back to being serious. This is a lot of lube. Look at a typical tootpaste about the same quantity and imagine each use of the lubricant is 1/2 a pea size or so and most likely anything you lube will not require daily lubing. I wished it was sold in a smaller quantity such as 1 oz, even that would be quite a lot. This 4 oz is approx. 1 1/2 diameter at the top end (not the neck), flat width on the bottom is 2, and the length is 5 3/4. EDIT 6/13/13: Ok, originally I gave the lube 4 STARS, now I am revising it to 2 STARS. Heres why. I have so far used it on a few applications but on the O rings in my kitchen faucet and as far as I can tell, it appears to feel like it isnt properly lubing the rings. Swinging the faucet left and right, feels slow with more resistance than I would like, the kind of feeling that makes it feel like it could do with some lubing, except it was lubed with this lube. Whats Im going to do is pick up something at the local hardware chain and compare it. Please click YES if my review have been helpful to you, it will encourage me to continue writing and updating my reviews, and leave a comment if you have any questions, I will be more than happy to answer if I can be of help.

> 24 hourI purchased this along with a Chefs Choice 615 food slicer -- I dont know a tremendous amount about the very best slicer lubricant, so I went with the reviews/suggestions to get the Petrol-Gel. Honestly, Im kind of impressed at how little is required to lubricate the grommet on the blade and the key points of the slicer. This small tube is going to last a long, long time. This is one of those products where I wont bother to find a better alternative or try to save what literally amounts to a buck. Ill stick with Petrol-Gel because it works.

> 24 hourHonestly, I cant tell the difference between this and a bottle of Petro Jelly, but the price is like 1-5 times this being 5 times more expensive. I used this on my espresso machine on a regular basis, every other time I clean the brewing unit. It keeps the unit running smoothly without getting the parts stuck (it happened once thats why I am maintaining it regularly now.)

> 24 hourMy mixer started to make that grinding sound because it needed more lube where you put the attachments on. Easy to apply and fixed the grinding sound it was making. Perfect amount that I can store it in one of my kitchen drawers. The other option was a big can of this stuff and only needed a little.

> 24 hourUsed it to lubricate a pressure regulator assembly for a nitro cold brew keg. Works great, and a little goes a long way with this grease. Going to last me a very long time.

> 24 hourI used this to lubricate the workings of my automatic espresso machine. I found that it worked well. There was no strange taste or smell in the coffee after using it It was easy to apply and had an easy to work with consistency at room temperature (67 degrees for me). The tube made it easy moderate the flow and the cap went back on securely after I was finished. It does what it says and Ive not had any problems with it. If you need to grease an espresso machine, Id recommend it.
