The surface is smooth so watercolors mix well. It’s nice and solid and cleans up easily.

It is lightweight and small enough that I can carry it in my art bag. I liked it so much I purchased another one! One is for my palette the other is for mixing color.

This has a big enough surface to mix several colors of paint at once.

This ceramic palette is sturdy. The wells are just the right depth and I really like using the center, larger wells for mixing larger amounts of paint. I am using it for watercolor. Generally, I let my paints dry in the wells. Just add water and they are reactivated. If a well is pretty empty when I’m done painting, I will just wipe it clean with a damp paper towel.

Easy to clean, numerous wells, does what it should.
