Melissa & Doug Jumbo Numbers Wooden Chunky Puzzle (20 pcs)

I picked this up for a little boy I nannied. He just turned 2, but he’s super smart. He already counts to 20, so I got him this since his 10 piece puzzles were starting to be a bit boring for him. He is slowly grasping where the numbers go and it’s a great challenge. Pieces are VERY sturdy and I love the smooth edges to the pieces! Cute colorful puzzle and a great gift. Would buy again.

My ALMOST 2-year old son already knows his numbers 1-10 by sight and sound, but now this is teaching him 11-20! He can already count to 20 out loud, but recognizing the numbers by sight is a bit more difficult and this puzzle is really helping with that! I love how there are fun objects/animals to count for each number as well! Well done, Melissa & Doug!

We love this alphabet puzzle. Our daughter has a slight speech delay and one day we saw this puzzle being used on a youtube video and it really got her interest. We bought it right away and she started following along with that video, saying the letters. It isnt one of those toys that was interesting for 5 minutes. We have had it for months now and she still loves it and has learned a lot from it. There has been no peeling or chipping and has held up great. The part I like best is that even when the pieces are removed, there are still letters underneath to see and learn from.

Easy to grab numbers are perfect for little ones. My 2- and 4-year olds love to race to put the numbers back in their places. Some paint has chipped, but only because the pieces have been thrown onto the tile and hard wood floors repeatedly. Fun design for them to look at, too. The patterns make it easy for young children to recognize where the numbers should go before they start to learn how to count. Update: I have had this for about 3 years now and the pieces and board are still in good condition. A little more chipped than before just due to regular wear and tear by crazy boys. They also love to make piles of numbers, stacking them one on top of another. I think they learn to have more imaginative play with things as they get older, and something as simple as a number board can used for more things than just counting. I would definitely recommend this product. Get it early so it can grow with your child.

3 kids later had to replace my 5year old Melissa and Doug alphabet puzzle due to a horrible flood. Always great quality.

I like Melissa and Doug products, but I’m kinda disappointed with the two wooden puzzles I purchased. They both care slightly curved instead of flat. Doesn’t make much difference on a carpet so I kept them... now after not much use the edges of the background on the alphabet puzzle are starting lift, it’s only a matter of time before my toddler notices and starts picking at them ... I paid the extra money for these wooden puzzles because I thought they where better quality... so shouldn’t they last at least a couple years?

This is the perfect way to show your little one the alphabet. My sons only 2 and he has known his alphabet since he was 1 so the next best step is to teach him how to recognize the letters and this puzzle is perfect! What I do is lay all the puzzle pieces out and ask him for a letter if he gets confused and cant find it I can tell him for example give me the letter A for apple or alligator and hell know right away because each letter has a picture on it. I feel it helps toddlers remember things more effectively. Over all I am ver pleased with the puzzle good quality very smooth on the edges and the pieces are perfect for toddlers and little hands because they are chunky and very easy to put in their spots.
