Small and light as a cat toy

These are so cute & well made but they have a strong perfume/chemical smell to them. (Not catnip) The inside of the Amazon packaging bags are scented recently (come on Amazon really?) And I thought maybe that is why the toys smelled. The wool balls are packaged in a plastic bag and they all smell so strong upon opening. I even washed one 4 times and the smell is still there! Wtf is this? Have to return them. Not safe for cats or people.
