> 3 dayCould not use/set up on 5 GHz wifi network. Very few plugs apparently can be used on 5 GHz networks (as of now, anyway)

Greater than one weekI have seven Meross products, and they are all great. This one controls my landscape lighting, and works flawlessly with a HomeKit automation to turn on and off at sunset and sunrise.

> 3 dayIve been in the smart home game for about 3.5 years now and have used multiple Wemo Smart plugs as well as Amazons own Smart plug to automate various things in my house via Alexa. I came to know the Meross company from their smart garage door opener that I use everyday and love. They offer tremendous value on products that either meets or beats the competition in terms of features. This Smart Wi-Fi Plug Mini is no exception. Lets see how it stacks up against the Wemo and Amazons Smart Plug. PRICE: As of this review (9/30/20), Wemo is $18/ea on Amazon. Amazon Smart Plug is $25/ea. Meross Smart Plug is $11.59. In my case, I got the 4pk for $37 so even cheaper per unit. Winner is clear. CONNECTIVITY: Amazon smart plug - works only with Alexa. Wemo - Works with Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit. Meross - Works with Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, Nest Hub, SmartThings. Again, winner is clear. FORM-FACTOR: Meross smart plug is the smallest of the three. All three of these will allow you to plug two into one set of single-gang outlets. However, due to the width of the Amazon and Wemo smart plugs, your double-gang outlets will be covered and rendered useless (See pictures). Not the case with Meross, you can still use the adjacent outlets! SET-UP: Smart home tech is getting so smart now that the set-up process keeps improving. I believe its fairly easy and straight forward to set up all three so itll be a tie. EASE-OF-USE: I mostly use control these plugs via Alexa and they all work like theyre designed so again, its a tie. CONCLUSION: The Meross small size combined with its myriad of connectivity options all at a hard to beat price makes it the clear winner here. Smart tech is finally affordable. My first Wemo cost me $35 back in 2017.

> 3 dayI have 7 of these, and they’re great when they work. However, 1 has basically completely failed within a couple months. I can’t update firmware, and I can’t reconnect it to network. Not easy to install since it only works on 2.4 ghz networks, and that requires you to temporarily change your network configuration. Overall, I can’t recommend these until they get updated to use 5 ghz networks and fix the connection problems.

> 3 daySetup with HomeKit was exceptionally easy. All I had to do was scan a QR code, plug in the plug, and wait about a minute for setup to complete. This was *much* easier than other plugs Ive used, where I had to manually connect to the plug and then enter wifi details (like TP link HS 105) My only complaint with the product is that installing firmware updates requires the creation of an account through the meross app. Having to set up the app after HomeKit complicated the installation slightly, thus the four stars. Id appreciate an option to install firmware updates without needing to create an account. The design isnt fancy, but it works exactly as promised so far. Id definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a homekit/Alexa compatible smart plug.

> 3 dayThis was used to plug in a lamp in our living room. Being disabled, I can not reach the lamp to turn it on. I love the idea to turn it on through my smartphone. As well as turn it off once I climb into bed. I bought one plug just before Christmas. I loved it. I have just recently bought 3 more. One to be used for a second lamp that is across the living room. The other two may go in my bedroom or maybe in another bedroom. I highly recommend this product.

> 3 dayThis would only work on the Apple Home app, which doesn’t allow setting a schedule without an additional device and only allowed me to turn it on and off remotely.

> 3 dayFirstly, it doesnt work half the time on home kit and then to connect it to Alexa I need to go through their app and also create an account?? No way in hell am I doing that. Worst product! Would not recommend. Starting the return procedure
