This was an item that my son wanted for Christmas - I presume he will like it.

As a newcomer to the Metal Gear Solid Series, the HD collection was perfect for me. I just beat Sons of Liberty and am currently playing Snake Eater, which is my favorite MGS game so far (Im still in a dream, Snake Eater!!!) . The gameplay and the story are fantastic. I find myself being entertained by the Codec conversations. Kojima brings an interesting combination of serious and zany aspects in the series. For over 20 bucks and getting three games (including the original Metal Gear series which predates MGS1 found on the menu in Snake Eater), I would highly recommend this collection to not only newcomers, but to original fans of the metal gear solid series. The original Metal Gear games before MGS1 however do not hold up in my opinion if you play MGS2 and on and is hard to go back to.

You get 3 games for 1 low price. The games look great in a HD! The storytelling is what really sets the Metal Gear Franchise apart. You cant go wrong with this purchase.

This is an excellent collection of games for any MGS fan, unless you want to play MGS4. I consider MGS4 the low point for the series, so I had no problem ignoring it for this collection.

Im a big fan of MGS. This is a must have for any other fans.

Enjoyed playing these 3 games. Never got to play MGS Peace Walker or MGS 2 Sons of Liberty, but thanks to the HD Collection now I can!! Great graphics & everything. If youre a Metal Gear Solid fan that I would suggest that you buy the HD Collection.
