Metal Gear Solid HD Collection

The Metal Gear Solid HD collection is just what it says it it. A remastered version of Sons of Liberty, Snake Eater, and Peace Walker for the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. The description does not say it, but you are actually getting the Substance and Subsistence versions of Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater, respectively. This includes all the extras included on those special re-releases (My favorite being the fully controllable camera on Subsistence), minus the Snake VS Monkey mini game in Snake Eater. The remaster looks great in 1080P HD. Frame rate from what I can tell so far is a steady and constant 60 FPS. Altogether, I would say that this re-release, despite the exclusion of Metal Gear Solid (which is only $10 on the PSN for PS3 owners), is a must buy for anyone who wants to experience Peace Walker, Sons of Liberty, and Snake Eater again in remastered HD.

If youre a metal gear solid fan, having these games in HD is pretty nice. People who missed out on the series could also enjoy this game too, though.

I never had the chance to play this series. Now that Ive begun to know Metal Gear, I think it is a good game, it has a lot of action and the story line improves as the story progresses throught it.

I actually expected 3 different discs. but was happy that the 3 games were on 1 disc.I like MGS since it was launched. i never thought i would like shootem games and strategy. but it seems otherwise after playing MGS 4.

must own for MGS fans. I played the two MGS games on PS2 but have yet to have played Peace Walker and this will be a perfect time to play it.

In just a couple months I beat all the games for the first time in this collection. The twisting story reveals, the identification with the characters, the moral themes, exotic locations, creative bosses, well written cutscenes, superb stealth gameplay, the badassery of Snake and on and on. This series is on a level all its own. Satisfying for casual gamers who want to walk through oil tankers and snap a few necks to those who take the time to tranq everyone sneak around and ponder the relevance of war, plights of soldiers, loyalty, genetic engineering and nuclear proliferation.

If you are a proud PS3 owner, Metal Gear Solid fan, and are distraught because you couldnt play PS2 games on your PS3(or didnt own a PSP), then this is something you must own.
