> 3 dayPick your favorite song, piece of music...listen to it on regular headphones, then listen to it on the Meze 99 Classics...you will hear things you have never heard before. The quality and depth of the sound are astounding. You dont get the noise cancellation of a Bose or other headphones, and it would be nice to have a wireless option, but the sound quality is unparalleled. Definitely worth the investment.

> 3 dayIncredible headphones. A lot has been made of their current pad iterations, and it is mostly overblown. They are likely warmer than the older ones, but they are not like listening through a wall as I saw one user review claim. They are certainly warm and have ample bass, but the detail is stellar and nuanced, and Id say just about perfectly balanced. I will agree that the bass may be a touch overly resonant for some of my music, but an email exchange with Meze reveals that they are planning on making various pad options available so that you can play with different sound signatures, so I will be looking out for that.

Greater than one weekGreat pair of headphones for when youre on the go. A really good amount of detail and clarity, similar to M50x. But much better bass thump. Great vocals. Like many warmer, thumpier headphones between $150-$500, these are very forgiving of whatever source/dac/amp you use, so I never feel the need to use a specialized dac/amp with these. It does improve with the H2, of course, but the difference is not as dramatic as it is for the m50x, Utopias, HD800, T1. The Meze 99 Classics are as forgiving as the tr80/250. I also think the Meze 99 Classics have struck a really fun, musical balance between the different frequency ranges. Not flat by any means, but foot tapping fun. The sound profile and forgiving nature of the sound and the lightness of the Meze 99 Classics are ideal when out and about town, but not needing noise cancellation. The original headphones I used for being out and about, but not needing noise cancellation was the tr80/250. It has a nice thumpy sound, isolates okay, gets in a good amount of detail and clarity, is very forgiving of the source, but somehow lacks the toe tapping fun of the Meze 99 Classics. The only thing I wish is that these had the fold flat capability of the m50x (the analytical headphones I reserve for audio recording). Fold flat is useful for both getting into my thin iPad bag, and also when I want the headphones around my neck and out of the way.

Greater than one weekThese sound like they are worth 2x their price. These are great all arounders, but best for hip hop, reggae and other bass heavy/forward genres/songs. Oh and get a little amp, really opens them up, but they’re pretty good right out of the box. If you’re spending less than 500 these are awesome, great starter audiophile headphone

> 3 dayJust looking at them their a quality item. Very clear sound and comfortable. I live in a very small house and everyone else is in bed by 9. With these I feel like Im listening at a theater. Clear and loud. I take them off just to be sure none else can hear. The house is silent. Amazing.

> 3 dayMeze Classics 99 have excellent sound quality and are incredibly comfortable. After 2 years of use they still work like brand new. I was hesitant about buying a pair of headphones from a relatively unknown brand unless you are an audiophile of course. These headphones are great on my laptop, Galaxy Note 10 and my Apple iPad and iPods. If I compare them to my Bose and Logitech/Corsairs/Razers - there is no extra Noise cancelling feature to block out ambient sound, and obviously no rainbow disco LEDs flashing! However if you whack the volume up enough then you can drown all other noises out like kids nagging you! The cable has one button for Play/Pause, it is good but if it just had Volume up/down then it would be amazeballs! These do not fold away so I like to keep them in a cloth carrying bag in my rucksack to keep them from scratches. The wood is a premium feel and I do love the cables, because the bottom half is braided and the top half have two jacks which plug in to each ear phone.

> 3 dayI was really excited to receive these cans and give them a listen. They were to be used as my daily at work. I began listening to them and realized that while listening to certain songs, on certain notes, it began making a strange sound. Equivalent to when youve blown a speaker and makes that fuzzy noise. It is slowly driving me insane.... The way it looks, comfort, everything else about these cans are amazing. I am so disappointed with the noise it consistently makes. Id like to see if maybe I received a defective pair.

> 3 daySo after listening to these for a few months, I can say they are as great as they say. I’m using mainly with Tidal and my iFI hip-dac. I’ve used them directly into my iphone(12) and computer(MacBook Pro) with great results. I will say this is the most “high-end” headphone I’ve ever heard or owned. I’m coming from using basic AKG’s and ear buds. These were a quantum leap in audio quality for me. I did some quality tests with different formats: FLAC, MQA, DSD, and Spotify with and without a DAC. The level of detail with DSD files was amazing. These headphones don’t need the help of a DAC but sure shine when you do. Watched a DVD on my computer with them, and it took me a minute to get adjusted to all of the background detail. I can’t compare these to anything comparable or higher end, but if you want to step up from ear buds and basic headphones, just go for it. If you use headphones a few times a week, these are worth the hype and the money. The fit and finish is top notch. No plastic was a big selling point for me. The ability to replace parts means you can have these headphones for as long as you want. They look super cool too!

> 3 dayBeautiful. Great sound. Comfortable. Isolate sound well. Have had these for over a year and use them for watching movies at night. Bought Dakoni pads which are more comfortable than the stock ones. Perfect for movies since these are detailed with lots of substance in the base. Also great all-rounders if you can equalize them. Have a set of Qudelix 5xs which come with EQ profiles for this, which balances out the sound more favorably. Cons: Wish they hit faster
