Greater than one weekI love these headphones! Theyre comfortable, light, beautiful, and sound incredible. The bass is prominent yet not overbearing. The midrange is detailed and musical. The treble is just OK. If theres a weak link, its the treble. I wish the treble was a little more forward. (However, this might be due to my old ears.) Overall, I dont think youll find a better set of closed cans for the price. Ive tried a LOT of headphones (and most were way more expensive than these) over the years, and the Classics are my favorite.

Greater than one weekI was super stoked to get these headphones and man, they did not disappoint UNTIL one of the earcups started shorting out just about a minute into the song. The input on the ear cup appeared to be loose and would short out unless you wiggled it. Very disappointed since I’ve been saving up for these. I will be returning them.

> 3 dayThese beauties are not only for your eyes to gaze upon, but also delivers incredible sound, a neutral sound signature with a hint of warmness. Great separation, clarity, and sound stage. These do have quite the punch and sub. The warmness is just delicate enough to not make the bass muddy, but enough to make you shiver to a good EDM beat. Im currently running these on an ATOM AMP & ATOM DAC and wow it brings out the clarity of the music. I have had these for about a week and have used them for all different kind of genres with no problem whatsoever. Comfort is top-notch. Low pressure, lots of space for your ears, a headband that makes the headphone fit you perfectly, and PU leather that you cant get enough of. One thing to note however is that they are quite big, but that is absolutely not a problem for me. I might be biased because these are my first pair of high-end headphones, but they are incredible and worth every penny.

> 3 dayThese are my first purchase of audiophile grade headphones and these have surpassed any expectations I had. Blah blah blah, I could tell you all about myself but Id rather focus on the product here. I will say that although I have worked my way up the chain for home stereo listening, for years Ive listened to MP3s on my phone with cheap-ass ear buds. I mainly use the Meze 99s at work and have three listening options - turntable, PC and newly purchased iBasso DX80. My previous pair of headphones was a pair of Jabra Bluetooth so I was able to do some comparison. The Meze 99s blew me away! I listen to anything from classical (DSDs & vinyl) to recordings of music from the early 1900s sourced directly from 78. There is a lot in between there, too, like early Jazz, Electronica (mainly early Industrial), 60s/70s rock and a lot of 70s/80s punk and hardcore music. These Meze 99s surprised the heck out of me as the mastering/source quality is all over the place from track to track but I was able to hear an improvement almost everything - there was more to the music that Ive ever heard before. Enjoying everything so far Im now dusting off numerous things I havent listened to in years to see what it sounds like in this new light. I really like the construction as well. They easily adjust without any intervention to any head size. I also find them to be very comfortable over my ears, seems like the pads that come with are the perfect size for my ears. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone stepping into the world of high-end headphones. I do have one regret - I wish I bought the maple/silver...whaaa me, that is only aesthetics and really, when listening to them I dont have to look at them.

> 3 dayI could listen for hours. Use them with an A&K Kann. They are gorgeous and sound better than they look. Highly recommend.

> 3 dayIm using the headphones with a Schitt Asgard Amp/DAC combo and these are my first quality headphones (more that $100), lol. The only complaint is that I had to replace the ear pads, but I do that on all headphones Guess I have giant ears. I upgraded to some Brainwavz Sheepskin ear pads. Ears no longer touch the driver or the edges of the ear pad. Anyway, love the headphones, would recommend or buy again.

> 3 dayI really cant add much to whats already been said, but these are so well built and so beautiful for the price. The sound is just south of neutral with excellent dynamics and a boatload of details. Think of it as a more exciting but slightly less refined cousin to the senn HD 650. And golly gee I prefer the more energetic meze to the 650, which I always found a bit too polite. So HD 650 is world class is meze 99? well if its not its very, very close and I appreciate ( thanks Jules ) the slightly boosted bass and more extended treble, without losing any detail. In a word this headphone for the price is probably the best thing going right now, unless your looking for a flatter reference type can. But where is the fun in that?? Oh and I wanted to add these came with the bigger, deeper earcups and are super comfy for many long hours.

Greater than one weekI bought these and a Fiio Q1 Mark II DAC/Amp as my first set of high res headphone/dac/amp. To be honest I was not sure I was going to notice the difference between these and the iPhone + a pair of Bose SoundTrue Ultra, but the minute I put these on the difference was quite big. I also love how they look and how comfortable they are. The only negative thing I could say is that they are not ideal for travelling. Ive recently used them in 6+ hours flight and if you want to take them off, you will have to put them back in your back pack because you cannot just put them in the sleeve of the seat on front of you. Another negative comment would be that the mic on the shorter cable is not place properly. People was having a hard time hearing me when I was using them to take a phone call. Overall Im very happy with them and because they are built to last I will be using them for a long time.

> 3 dayYou can hear the breath of the flute player when they inhale between measures. They might look dainty, but they sound incredible for all sorts of music - rock and electronika included. One con is that theyre a little heavy on the bass, but most people like that. 5/5 headset, especially for the price.
