> 24 hourHad I not looked elsewhere for instructions, I would never have gotten good results. I took off the cover and adjusted the dials to match the reed chokes. While there I found that the induction coil had never been adjusted or tightened to specs. That completed, I was able to get great tuning of my dipole for 40 meters.

> 24 hourI have two of these in my ham shack. They work as intended, and having two coax connections and a backlit meter is a plus.

> 24 hourI have had this tuner for about 25 years now. Was surprised to find it on Amazon, still in production. I can certainly vouch for its longevity. It is still in my ham station, matching my IC-7300 transceiver to a non-resonant wire antenna. The small size allows it to sit on top of the rather compact radio. Over the years Ive used it with a variety of antennas, including the notoriously difficult-to-match G5RV. Never found anything it wouldnt match perfectly. For anyone who doesnt mind twisting knobs and can live without the convenience of an automatic tuner, Id definitely recommend this little device. Picture: After all this time I finally decided to change the knobs. Looks much better, especially with the Icom radio.
