> 3 dayThe MFJ-949E is my first antenna tuner to be used. The cabinet passed the ole shack test which is a good sign. I am looking forward to using this item and expect a learning curve and alot of help from YOU TUBE videoes.

> 3 dayI have had this tuner for about 25 years now. Was surprised to find it on Amazon, still in production. I can certainly vouch for its longevity. It is still in my ham station, matching my IC-7300 transceiver to a non-resonant wire antenna. The small size allows it to sit on top of the rather compact radio. Over the years Ive used it with a variety of antennas, including the notoriously difficult-to-match G5RV. Never found anything it wouldnt match perfectly. For anyone who doesnt mind twisting knobs and can live without the convenience of an automatic tuner, Id definitely recommend this little device. Picture: After all this time I finally decided to change the knobs. Looks much better, especially with the Icom radio.

> 3 dayWas in a box poorly packaged. In factory box but not factory packaging. Connected to transmitter and nothing at all. Replaced the 1n34a diodes and it came to life. Dont say its new when its not.
