Greater than one weekThis is a great tuner and works well with a NanoVNA allowing me to set SWR to 1:1 on my preferred group of channels. It arrived sooner than projected. The reason i am giving a 3 star is because the device i received didnt appear to be new as there is a screw missing from the bottom which holds the now loose side panel in place and it isnt in the packaging.

> 3 dayThis excellent tuner antenna with its maximum 300 w and the ease of obtaining a low srw with easy to use controls. Its small size and low weight make it easy to move and connect to a base or mobile station.

> 3 dayThis is not my first tuner from MFJ, but it is my most recent purchase from them. Great little tuner, does well with random wire end fed antennas. But the first unit delivered had an issue with the Tune/BPS filter not staying down in the tune setting. Not my first quality control issue with MFJ products, which is why I only buy their stuff through Amazon - better buyer protections. I have an exchange in process - well see how the replacement unit does.

18-11-2024ive had both of these the mfj -949&945 ,and both do just what they are intened to do and thats to keep youre match as low as possible, and they both are worth the money spent if youre concerned about keeping youre ,S.W.R.,as low as possible ,under a,1.5.,is possible with either meters, and if youre running a, antron 99-antenna ,dont by all means move the 2- tuning rings in the middle just take youre time and make sure that both rings are tight as possible ,this also applies to the I-MAX-2000,antenna made also by ,solar con which both are made by solarcon, the I- max is ,24,ft,long and the antron is ,18-foot long which will handle strong wind a lot better than the I-max,2000,i ve seen the very top section on the I- max snap off on the ,I- max in high winds ,where the 18- foot a- 99 was still all together, and when you put either antenna ,USE THE LOCK WASHERS ,that came with these antennas, why ,?????so they wont get loose in a, high wind,?????I prefer the a-99,its a great antenna and I tuned it with the mfj,949 for 10-meters ,im a, ham radio -operator,and ive talked all over with it on a, kenwood ts -430 station which was the complete station by kenwood..im ,kd8 hmh on the ham radio,Dave.

> 3 dayTunes my end fed half wave antenna to <1.5:1 SWR on all bands from 80-10 meters. Tuning is fairly simple, and its kind of fun to twiddle the dials around like an old timer instead of using an autotuner. It will probably tune on 6 meters as well but my radio wont. Will probably also do 160 meters but my antenna wont.
