> 3 dayIm a simple man and I appreciate quality. This thing is dripping with quality. Not interested in Dyson because I dont like overpaying for something that looks futuristic but actually isnt. I would rather go for a company that is less widely popular, but has made quality products in the industry for many years. Miele fit this bill and I have no regrets spending the money on it. Ive tried cordless vacuums and cheaper vacuums. Cordless vacuums simply dont do a good enough job to justify having one around. Youre basically leaving 40% of debris behind on whatever youre trying to clean. For the sake of not having a cord. Yuck. Thats not my style at all. When I clean, I want the thing clean. Spent $150 on a cordless which I regret. Ive tried cheaper corded vacuums and although the suction power is decent they all lack something which make them feel like a complete cleaning solution. I should have just foregone all those and bought a Miele right off the bat. Heres why it is amazing and a 5/5 overall: - Suction power is amazing. 1200W motor so there you go. It doesnt play around and it doesnt sound obnoxious either. - The bag system is much preferred. Im so over dumping debris in a garbage can and trying to dodge a cloud of dust. Just take the bag and throw it away. I dont mind paying a little more over a lifetime of use and never having to worry about breathing in all the crap the vacuum just sucked up ever again. - Filtration system is genius. The air feels so clean after vacuuming there you would think you are in a different environment after. - The vacuum is simple yet Im able to clean the whole house effectively with it. A simple swap of the tool head and I can reach all corners of the ceiling. Cobwebs, spider webs, dust, all gone. The wheels keep it maneuverable and allow it to swivel easily. It has a button to retract the cord so you dont have to wind it up after like most vacuums in the $200 range. Not the longest cord ever but its fine and feels sturdy. - Once you are done with it, the vacuum slides into place to become one piece, and tucks into your closet, taking up minimal space. How considerate. Great buy and Im very happy because my living space is fresh and clean!

> 3 dayPrice: 4/5 Build Quality: 4/5 Suction: 4/5 Ease of Use: 4/5 Emptying Can: 4/5 Cost of Use: 3/5 Overall this product is very good. I have been using Dyson non-corded vacuums for the last 10 years but decided to go with a corded bag vacuum. I got tired of switching out the batteries for the Dyson vacuums as it has become very costly (and also bad for the environment). I wanted something that would keep it suction power longer. This is my first bag vacuum, but I am quite surprised at how long each bag lasts if you have a medium sized condo. I dont care too much for the color, but other than that, I am pleased overall with the product. It has all of the attachments you need to clean around your home. The only downside that this vacuum has versus a non-corded vacuum is that it takes more time to set up. However, once you get used to it, it wont be a problem. I would highly recommend.

> 3 dayFirst off, Im a tough reviewer. In general, I dont believe in 5 star reviews unless the product is really excellent at its function or an incredible value. If the product does what it says and costs a normal amount of money, thats a 4 star review in my book. Background: I live in a 2 bedroom apartment, which is 50% hardwood, 25% tile and 25% medium pile carpet. I also have area carpets in the living spaces that are medium-low pile. I dont have any pets, but my fiancee has long hair. I am getting a cat soon - I will update this review when I have tried out the vacuum on cat hair. EDIT: Ive had the cat for 2 months now. Vacuum picks up cat hair on my couch and carpet pretty well. I dont have to re-vacuum any areas as far as I can tell. When doing furniture, I have to clean the attachments fairly often, but thats to be expected. No change to this review. Functions: Hardwood - Fantastic This thing has great suction. It cleans super easily and the parquet floorhead is effective. Carpet - Good The Turboteq carpet brush head cleans the carpets pretty well. There are multiple suction settings and the device recommends a lower suction setting for carpets. I have found I get better results going slower on a lower suction mode than turning up the suction. The suction is very powerful - it will pull up on area rugs. You have to maintain an acute angle with the handle and push forward and slightly down to move the brush head over carpet. Even then it takes a little bit of force. Moving it backwards doesnt work nearly as well. In heavily soiled areas, you may need multiple passes - the runner carpet in the hallway needed 2 or 3 passes. Furniture - The attachments for furniture and upholstery work pretty well. Depending on your furniture you may have to turn the suction down past the furniture setting to the curtain setting. I have not tried to clean my curtains with this vacuum. Usability - Pretty good The main issues with usability are simply with canister vacuums. You have to move the canister, clean that area, and then move the canister again. If youre using the floorheads at specific angles or direction, you may have to set up the canister so the hose is pointing in a useful direction because the hose is a little too short. It is surprising how often you need to consider how to optimize the orientation. The floor and brush heads have lots of rotation but it does not mitigate this problem much. The cord is very long so you can generally always maneuver the vac where you need it to be, but the hose could probably be longer. I will probably be checking in a few months for a longer compatible hose if this continues to annoy me. There are other small usability issues that I would say could be engineered away. The carpet brush head has two notches across it so you can cut hair off. However, over the middle of the brush head, there is a section that the notches are inaccessible because of the brush head bristles. Both notches are inaccessible in the same area from the bristles. It would have been easy to modify the bristle pattern so over the entirety of the brushhead there was at least one notch that work. However, I will say that the notch does work very well when you can use it. The holder for the attachments is also in a slightly inconvenient location as it slightly messes with the tubes. Otherwise the usability is great. Everything assembles easily and its easy to change the bags. Its small and easy to store Quality - Great I havent had this vacuum long, but Im a mechanical engineer who has designed consumer products. I can tell this uses quality materials. The brush head has plastic moving parts, but when inspecting them while cutting hair out, I can tell it is a glass-impregnated plastic for wear resistance. I was able to cut hairs away from it with a normal pocket knife (not a razor blade/hobby knife) without scratching it. I was being careful, but a cheap ABS part would have been scratched up easily. I am impressed by this products engineering and quality. Overall - 4 stars I have written mostly positive things, and the negative things are minor. However, I am only giving this 4 stars, because this aint cheap. $400 is a lot of money for a vacuum, and while it does the job, it doesnt perform its functions unbelievably well. However, it definitely seems built to last. If it is truly as durable as it should be for this price, maybe it is deserving of 5 stars. But if Im paying $400 for an appliance, I dont want slight usability issues or need to make multiple passes on carpet. However, Im not unhappy with my purchase at all. I recommend this for apartment dwellers who are willing to spend a little more time cleaning with a canister vac to get good cleaning results.

> 3 dayThis is my 1st Miele and Im pleases, however the suction power on this little guy is mind blowing. I have low pile rugs on hardwood floors downstairs, carpeted stairwell and carpet bedrooms upstairs. The thing is so powerful that its kinda hard to push on carpet even when I adjust the settings. So Ive turned my vacuum days into a work out day bc youre definitely putting in some work pushing that thing. I still give it 5 stars.

21-11-2024I just received this vacuum and so far I’m really impressed. I’ve owned nearly every type of vacuum out there and I feel like this one is a real winner - well made, light weight and plenty of suction power. I particularly like the parquet attachment; it’s wide enough to cover ground quickly and seems to pick up really well. Time will tell, but I’ve got a feeling I’m going to become a Miele fan.

> 3 dayI have another Miele for Dog and Cat that was too heavy for me to handle and it sucked up my area rugs no matter the setting so bought this one since the roller head is suction, not motor driven. It still sucks up the area rugs on lowest setting. I thought since the head was not power driven that the suction on lowest setting would not be enough to suck up my rugs. Well, it does. I like the quality, the good filters and filter bags, the motor is superb, strong and quiet. But it sucks up the rugs. Also my complaint about all the Miele vacs are the attachments are bulky and wont go under most furniture do the the design, even the handle to hose when used is curved so it would go under things. This also cant be stored in an upright position with the attachment on it like most vacs. It has a clip on the back bottom of the machine that the attachment with hose attached slips into but that means the vac as to stay flat, not set upright and it becomes difficult to store. To store you have to remove the tube and attachment to sit it up. The floor or carpet attachment wont sit upright on its own either. When vacuuming you either have to set it in this clip or lay it on the floor. It wont stand up on its own due to the curved design of the attachments and hose. Very odd. It is as if who designs Miele vacs never used them to clean house or they would have made changes. I still love this one for the lightweight and good motor and filters. Great on fine cat litter dust.

> 3 dayAfter doing months of research on vacuums, I decided to get this Miele. Best decision Ive made. Dont waste your money on Sharks or Dysons. They arent made well, and wont last. This vacuum is made very well, and its a recommended buy by almost every vacuum repair shop in my town. Its low maintenance and easy to fix if you ever did need to, which usually on Miele you dont.

> 3 dayI love this company. Their products are beautiful, well constructed and German…they just make sense. I’m going to be honest here. If you look at the Miele line, all of the first models are suction only. Meaning…there’s no electrical component engaging the telescopic wand or turbo brush. It’s all suction. You need to pay close attention and use a considerable effort keeping the suction at the exact level you need. You can turn a nob, release some in a switch near the handle, or park it for a bit as you get ready to get your octopus suction ready for the next surface. It’s all good if you are young…living in a condo with minimal square footage…and want the German approach to cleaning. You want an electrically driven brush head…period. Unless you live in a marble palace. It’s worth the extra $200-300, no matter what line you take on. The suction is the same. You just want and need some help. If you have crossed over the $400 mark, what’s another $350 or so…get what you want and need. Otherwise, get a mega Kenmore and budget 2-3 in the lifetime of a properly cared-for Miele. I made the mistake and went by budget. Got to the corporate website and look at what you want and need. The filters can be installed and purchased for any model. Get an electric brush and parquet shovel head…and the hand brush for sure. Look at the cost of these things individually. It just makes sense. The bags and filters are superb. Cloth bags. I feel like I’m back in the day. When things were built to last!

> 3 dayI bought this vacuum about a year ago after searching for one which was not made in China. Mine is made in Germany. So happy. After years with a Dyson, this was so much better. My model uses bags instead of dumping the dirt directly into the trash, so much nicer than breathing in and having to touch all the dirt. The filter is also simple to replace. The suction is excellent. I use the power head to vacuum area rugs as we have no carpeting. We also have many animals running around so I must vacuum common areas every other day. The unit is light and easy to maneuver. I no longer dread schlepping out the vacuum. The blue color is a nice touch. The attachments are sufficient for every job. The price was so much less than the most other models. I highly recommend this product for any of your vacuum needs.
