> 3 dayThis is a great replacement for the original MOEN aerator without affecting flow rate. Yes, there is plastic strainer inside instead of the wire mesh. Hand tightening is all it takes. A little pricey, but worth it. Big box stores dont carry this item.

> 3 dayOur kitchen faucet started to spray from the sides of the aerator. The Canadian Moen website (Im in Canada) showed the proper part number (101257, in Chrome finish), but they were on back order. I took a chance on this aerator kit (3919) sold on Amazon.com, and had it overnighted via DHL. The gamble paid off perfectly - this aerator fits my faucet like a glove, and it works beautifully! I am very happy with the easy transaction, and timely delivery.

Greater than one weekOne of those products where all the five star reviews are deserved! I wish I didnt buy the $5.00 Ace Hardware replacement. This part is night and day better. Dont hesitate to get the genuine thing.

> 3 dayTwo weeks ago, I had a new kitchen faucet installed &, after installation, I asked my plumber why the water flow was so weak. He did not seem to know. I took off the aerator to see if there was some restriction that could be removed to enable my sink or containers to fill more quickly & for my water to get hot as fast as it did before. The aerator could not be modified. So I did my research & found out that all newer faucets come with a 1.5 gpm (gallon per minute) aerator as opposed to older faucets that traditionally had 2.2 gpm. OK, Ill just go to Menards & pick up a different aerator. Oh no, you wont. They only carry 1.5 & this is apparently to discourage using water at a higher flow rate. Well, Mr. Brilliant EPA Guy, it takes just as much water to fill my sink as it did before. I just have to wait twice as long for it to fill. Also, it takes much longer for the cold water to leave the hot water pipe so I can get to the hot water. I can understand the rationale here but here we go again with some Government Agency determining how I can live my life. Thank God for Amazon!!! I went online & searched for a Moen 2.2 gpm aerator & there it was. I got it today & it fits like a charm & FINALLY I have acceptable water pressure. LOVE IT!! BTW, I have a private well so Im not tapping into public water with my wasteful methods. Come & get me, Water Police.

> 3 dayDont bother with generic. Purchased a hardware store replacement for a Moen pull out faucet aerator... the quality of the flow was worse than the damaged one, and it interfered with the spray selector. This has a better stream overall

> 3 dayI cant believe Im writing a review about a water faucet aerator, but I am. Id replaced my downstairs bathroom faucet aerator with one I purchased at Lowes. To say I was unhappy with it would be an understatement. It was so restricted that I ended up with four separate streams of water. I was so pleased to find this Moen unit, with a higher flow rate. It arrived a day earlier than projected. Took the one from Lowes off. Put this one on. Problem solved. One healthy stream of water at a nice rate of flow. Ive always had great results with Moen in the past. It will always be Moen in the future.

> 3 dayIn a word....AWESOME. I had a 1 GPM Moen model in mine originally and the water was a weak slow stream. Much better flow rate with this model! Buy it!

> 3 dayWow, simply wow! The water flow through this aerator is like a light beam with very minor fluctuation at the bottom when it hits the sink. Im talking about pure, smooth water flow and just the right amount to make your hands feel like theyre getting every bit of water they deserve. Even though theres a GPM rating, the water flow does not feel like its being restricted in any way. Clearly worth the money and accept no substitute. I should know: I bought a substitute from Lowes and the water feels too restricted and makes too much sound. I might just throw that one away and get another one of these :) So if you have a faucet thats spitting out water in some random, non-uniform way, youre just wasting water. Get this aerator and make that old faucet new again. It will make EVERY DROP COUNT! Its not about GPM, its about water usefulness ;) BTW, comparing the substitute and the Moen aerators, the Moen will give you that steady stream of water regardless of water speed. The substitute will spit water like a multi-hole showerhead at lower speeds. The Moen is also quieter and more pleasing to the ear compared to the slotted aerator substitute. Sure the substitute will save you money by limiting the water flow to 1.5 GPM but the sound you have to deal with sucks. My two cents...or ten.
