Moen 3919 2.2 GPM Male Thread Kitchen Faucet Aerator, Chrome
-
Second time purchaser
> 3 dayTwo weeks ago, I had a new kitchen faucet installed &, after installation, I asked my plumber why the water flow was so weak. He did not seem to know. I took off the aerator to see if there was some restriction that could be removed to enable my sink or containers to fill more quickly & for my water to get hot as fast as it did before. The aerator could not be modified. So I did my research & found out that all newer faucets come with a 1.5 gpm (gallon per minute) aerator as opposed to older faucets that traditionally had 2.2 gpm. OK, Ill just go to Menards & pick up a different aerator. Oh no, you wont. They only carry 1.5 & this is apparently to discourage using water at a higher flow rate. Well, Mr. Brilliant EPA Guy, it takes just as much water to fill my sink as it did before. I just have to wait twice as long for it to fill. Also, it takes much longer for the cold water to leave the hot water pipe so I can get to the hot water. I can understand the rationale here but here we go again with some Government Agency determining how I can live my life. Thank God for Amazon!!! I went online & searched for a Moen 2.2 gpm aerator & there it was. I got it today & it fits like a charm & FINALLY I have acceptable water pressure. LOVE IT!! BTW, I have a private well so Im not tapping into public water with my wasteful methods. Come & get me, Water Police.

Greater than one weekIm in a very old house and after the kitchen faucet clogged every couple months and I opened it to clean it by tapping small grit/sand/minerals out, it broke. Realizing that although the faucet flowed better now, I was going to end up with rocks in my water, I ordered a replacement (had to order 2 different ones before I found the correct replacement) and had everything fixed in a few minutes.

> 3 dayI had an Aerator that kept popping out of the sink. I tried putting Teflon tape and tightening the Aerator as much as possible, but to no avail. So I purchased this Moen to replace that craptastic old one. What a difference! It does not pop out and actually has a much nicer flow. I have two sinks in my bathroom and the other sink still uses the old Aerator. The flow is not as nice.

> 3 dayIf youre reading this, yes its the one youre looking for in terms of flow and stream quality. To convey the sound (great stream quality) of this, imagine someone cooking a steak in a movie. Sound effects added, youre hearing a perfect sear sounding from what MUST be a 3 inch thick frigging cast iron skillet. That unwavering airy SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS is what your faucet will sound like. You may be more familiar with the sound of a truck tire stabbed with an ice pick. Or, a long long time ago there existed the snowy sound of a TV... on a channel... with....... NO BROADCAST FROM THE STATION!!! Oh man........ I just realized Im old enough to remember when theres nothing on TV was a statement of fact - that no viewable content was being broadcast on any of the VHF channels. Where was I Ah, buy this...

> 3 dayI ordered this on January 31, 2021, and received the 2.2GPM faucet aerator just like the listing said. I unscrewed the old aerators with 21 years of scaly hard water buildup on them and replaced them with these shiny new ones, all of which work perfectly. Very satisfied!
