> 24 hourI watched the VIDEO Moen on how to install several times. Paid attention to what size keyhole saw to purchase, and which way the arrows needed to point. I had my level, a #2 pencil, my screwdriver, and Drill. I was ready to tackle two GRAB BARS. Then when I opened the Amazon box I discovered the VIDEO shown didnt apply. My GRAB BARS had the metal rings already attached and I needed to go to the Hardware and purchase special wall screws that also needed to penetrate the cinder block wall on the other side of the drywall where I was placing the Grab Bars. I also needed to purchase a concrete drill bit. Once I had the bars attached strongly to the walls in both bathrooms I was very pleased with the LOOK of both bars. Next time an Item is shown with a HOW TOO INSTALL Ill wait until the item arrives and read the instructions before purchasing needed items to install the item.

> 24 hourThese are stainless steel throughout, with covers that click over the mounting plates. It comes with 6 Phillips head screws (three used on each end). I would have given this 5 stars, but the screws that Moen provides are inappropriate. Admittedly, I was using a driver to put these into ancient southern heart pine, which is a pretty hard wood. These appear to have #2 Phillips heads on them (the shipped screws are on the right side in the photo). In every case I tried to run these, the heads stripped out - and that was with a good #2 (also tried #1) phillips driver bit and 200 lbs of me attempting to hold the bit in the screw head. No dice. Really, for a screw this large and long that is intended for a weight bearing application, a #2 head is too small. They should have shipped these with something more like the packaged screws on the left in the photo - 5/16 nut head. A nut driver (manual or with an electric driver) wont pop off of those heads! The screws I chose were a little shorter, but plenty long enough in my particular application into that ancient southern heart pine, but longer might be necessary for a standard sheet rock over soft pine stud installation. Moen! Include better screws!

> 24 hourI wanted to like this bar. It seems sturdy enough, but there are two problems on installation: 1. the coverplates are fairly flimsy, and slip down and lock while you are trying to install the bar. Now, this is what you want when you are done fastening the screws, but not before. Once locked, they are hard to pry open. I actually pinched and cut myself on the sharp metal edge. I finally taped it up away from the end to get it out of the way. (Not mentioned anywhere in the instructions). If you only do this once, meh, but if you were say a plumber, and do this often, you will be adding some new vocabulary to your repertoire. 2. As others have noted, the screws are soft with a small Phillips head. (Stainless can be soft). I was able to use my special anti-cam screwdriver, but not everyone has one. I was tempted to switch to a hex style, but decided to grin and bear it for just this one. Part of the issue is that you need a long driver to get past the bar, so your angle is off with a regular power driver.

> 24 hourAs a senior, I was told by nurses to be sure to have a grab bar in each shower/bath. I had my son followed the simple instructions and installed them easily. I am very happy with these strong bars. I feel safer than ever with a bar I can quickly take hold of. They are a great value and I now have peace of mind when Im showering.
