Greater than one weekWere in our seventies; we needed something secure to hold onto getting into and out of the tub. This works great, even in a difficult location. I have a stud right under the edge of tiles in the shower stall. I needed to install this bar on the wall just outside the stall, butted up against the edge of the tiles, but not on top of the stud. That meant the screws would have to go in on an angle to embed into the stud underneath the tiles. That was true of the other end as well (32 bar, studs 16 o.c.). Not a problem. Some screw holes in the ring on the end of the bar are slotted; others are fixed; but the entire ring theyre in can rotate. So I was able to align multiple holes as near as possible to the studs, two on top, one underneath. The screws provided were 3 long, so they could reach and firmly sink into the studs, even on a diagonal. Its rock solid. Obviously the screw heads could not be seated flat. No problem. The ring cover fit over the top of them without any trouble at all, and snapped onto the screw ring below. It looks great, AND it gives us the secure grip we needed.

> 3 dayWhen my wife was scheduled for knee replacement surgery, I started looking into grab bars ... and finding a zillion brands, finishes, types, shapes, etc. After considering some of the fancier and FAR more expensive options, I came to my senses and focused first on specifications, namely, tubing wall thickness, welds, and attachment plates (flanges). The Moen bars are really basic, but the specs are decent, its a brand name bar, and they were returnable if I didnt like them when they showed up. I ordered them and they are just fine. What I didnt want to do - with any brand bar - was try to blindly attach them to studs. I do a lot of home improvement work and I can pretty reliably find studs with a finder and occasionally a magnet, but I also didnt want to risk placing a critical screw too close to an edge or into a weak spot in the stud, like a loose knot, and there was no way I was going to use drywall anchors for something so critical. Finally, I found by reading descriptions and instructions that the flanges for almost all grab bars are circular. While that offer a lot of options for screw placement, their sizes are such that most will only accommodate 1 or 2 screws per plate, the other available holes not being over the stud, which wasnt comforting. So, I opened the walls, installed blocking between the studs, patched, and installed the bars with 3 heavy gauge construction screws in each flange - checking first to ensure that the flange cover would fit over the screw heads. The bars are solid as a rock. The flange welds would probably fail before the screws or blocking would. There is no wobble, no hint of movement whatsoever, no matter how much you push or pull. Im happy. My wife is happy. They look good. Plus they eliminated a couple of extraneous towel bars and hooks as I bought 36 bars so as to serve double duty. One is always bare, the one on the opposite wall has a few items on the far end that isnt actually used for grabbing.

> 3 dayMounted this on the wall to use while stepping in & out of the tub. It was easy to install & is equal the quality & stability of the ones Ive previously purchased at Lowes or Home Depot for 4 times the price. I highly recommend.

Greater than one weekReal happy with this grab bar. It was easy to install once I found the studs in the wall. Once installed it appears to be very strong and sturdy. Would recommend this product.

> 3 dayThis is a well built grab bar that supports up to 500lbs and is ADA compliant. The corrosion resistant stainless steel construction cant be beat for longevity. It also has a concealed screw design with a quality finish you can feel. The hardware included is less than optimal but as long as you screw them into a stud, theyre fine. On the wall without studs, my husband screwed in a piece of 2x4x1 wood with longer screws and then used the provided product screws to attach to it. They held my husband fine (64/260 lbs) in testing. They look fabulous in my parents master bath room and have been a wonderful help to them using the toliet safely.

> 3 dayWe haven’t gotten it installed yet but we had one just like it before we moved. My Husband is a Amputee & we had it installed next to the toilet. It really helped him, to pull himself up. We could use three more that were 18” long, if you had them. Thank you.
