Mongo Versipack

Purchased this product a little over a month ago to augment/replace a similar style sling pack from another vendor. My old pack was 10x9x7 and functioned well as a carryall for my photography equipment and misc. gear when in the field. However I will be needing a larger gear bag for a job this summer and so purchased this.

You cannot go wrong with maxpedition ! This is an awesomely huge bag that will serve you well for a variety of purposes!

I used to own the 5.11 RUSH MOAB for an every day carry bag. After about a year I grew tired of how it sat on my back. I decided to give this messenger style bag a try and Im happy I decided to spend more money to give it a try. I ended up adding the maxpedition janus extension pocket. Im a big guy and the extra strap and storage worked great. I have no issues carrying this bag and it doesnt fatigue me like the MOAB did. I even carry more weight in the Mongo. I couldnt be happier with how it carries.

These are heavy duty packs which can be a mixed blessing. Durable and nearly indestructible yet heavy. The straps are not padded and can cause skin irritations. The waist strap should be as thick as the shoulder strap, padded and ideally with pockets. The design otherwise is amazing. It will probably outlive me

Bought this to be a more masculine diaper bag with the ulterior motive of using it as a range bag on weekends. Works great for both. Super durable and comfortable to carry. Does take a little time to break in. Great for both purposes though!

I carried a lunch box cooler to work like an Igloo or an Arctic Zone for years.They were bulky and the carry strap did not like to ride on my shoulder well.I found the Maxpedition Mongo Versipack to be comfortable and roomy enough to carry all my day to day needs. It is also a lot more stylish. You will never catch me carrying a cooler type lunch box ever again.

I am a traveling systems engineer in the manufacturing industry, so I need a bag that is small enough to carry everywhere, but large enough to fit everything I need. That is usually a tough compromise, either I get a bag that is fits everything but is way to cumbersome to carry comfortably or is too small to fit everything but is light and comfortable to carry all day.

I am using my mongo as a flight bag and its perfect. Lots of space for charts, headset, flashlight, extra radio, batteries, iPad and GPS, etc. very pleased with this bag.

This is absolute the best day pack/man-bag Ive ever owned. I can fit my concealed pistol, laptop and iPad in the spacious interior. With the design of the strap, it feels very light to carry all day long.
