Fantastic bag that is versatile, convenient for EDC, and the quality is top notch. My only complaints are as follows. The waist belt should be able to buckle in on both sides allowing you to remove it entirely. This would also allow you to have a thicker, more padded belt to better distribute the weight. There is also a secret pocket on the shoulder belt but the entrance is so small the things get lost deep inside the bag and can be hard to retrieve. Besides these two things the mongo is magnificent and couldn’t be more pleased. Thank you Maxpedition!

Bought to use as a diaper bag when taking the little one out on the town. Lots of room for the necessities as well as a light change of clothes for both of us if needed. Also doubles as a hunting pack or range bag. No issues to point out at this time.

I ended up getting the RAPDOM version of this bag way cheaper and not as stiff.

Everything about this is better than I hoped for. Heavy stitching. Solid seams. Big chunky buckles and zipper pulls. Smooth zippers. Main pocket is huge. Easily fit a 15 inch laptop and then some. Outer pockets are smaller and slimmer but have molle or elastic loops or dividers. Bottle holder is perfect diameter for a 1 liter nalgene bottle. The bottle retention strap is adjustable so you can put taller bottles in but the diameter is pretty fixed. Concealed carry pocket is nice but not very friendly towards full size autos. Especially if you have spare mags. The attachment method for the holsters and mag sleeves is velcro. Of course the maxpedition brand stuff fits in perfectly but if you dont want to spend the money for the brand name you can shop around for something. The bag has the loop part of hook and loop if that helps. I used to carry a red Rock generic backpack. This bag holds more, is more organized, and is smaller than the red Rock. I have it set up to fit a full size auto plus two mags, a decent trauma kit, and a days worth of food and drinks. If you dont want a monster bag I suggest stepping down to a maxpedition fatboy or jumbo sling bag. The quality is just as great with a more manageable size.

This is a nice compact carry. The concealed carry compartment will fit a full sized 1911 and extra magazines. I can carry my Surface 3 and 13 MacBook Pro in the main compartment and still have plenty of room in all the compartments to carry the accessories. Its my daily EDC. My only complaint is the flimsy shoulder pad. I switched it out with one with more padding.

Like all my Maxpedition equipment, it is strong, well, made, suits my needs and goes.EVERYWHERE with me. It carries my concealed unmentionables, medications, two Kindles, tools, and my 35mm DSLR camera with a 250mm lens.

I was looking for something more manly, practical and functional as a diaper bag for the coming birth of my son. Most of the other diaper bags sold at big box stores just didnt cut it for me, despite their more affordable price tags. While searching online for something better, I came across this bag. It was hard for me to justify spending the amount of money for this bag, but so far Im pleased with it. Im slowly acquiring the essentials needed for diaper changing and baby cleaning, and it looks like this bag will easily fit them all in a neat, well organized manner. Mind you, its not as big as a large gym bag, but it works for my intended purpose. Its comfortable, and for those who conceal carry, it even includes a zippered compartment close to the body with velcro so that you can attach a velcroed holster to it. The bag also has outer velcro strips so you can also attach velcro patches to customize it to your liking. Once the baby is out of diapers, I intend to use it as I would any other travel bag or range bag. Anyway, if your budget allows for it, Id higly recommend it.

too many useless pockets. the water bottle holder is an unusual size, too short and not wide enough. Some slight modifications could make this bag world class, but as is I returned it for a refund.
