too many useless pockets. the water bottle holder is an unusual size, too short and not wide enough. Some slight modifications could make this bag world class, but as is I returned it for a refund.

Hubby is so happy. WE let his first bag get sold in the Estate Sale in states, prior to retiring here in Belize. So now he is armed and dangerous. This even fits his HP 15 laptop, for those computer sessions at the local coffee shop. YOU think you have coffee in the states? OR chocolate....HAHAHA!. CBCBelize.

I purchased this bag to use for school and it looks like it will be perfect. I have the maxpedition jumbo pack and love it, I use that as my murse. The one thing I dont like about this bag, and that keeps it from getting 5 stars, is no handle! My jumbo has a nice sewn in handle that I use often, but for some reason they decided to make this bag handle-less. I dont understand why they did this, as a handle is very useful. Anyway this bag is large enough for textbooks and notebooks, laptops and such. Ill post an update as I use it further.

Great for a heavy duty murse. I dont have a CCW and the closest thing I come to urban warfare is a little road rage. I carry a Chromebook, phone, MP3 player, some chargers, pens, first aid supplies and some office stuff during the week. I will reload this bag for the boat, the beach, dive trips and whatever else may come along. It is a very versatile bag for all those things. I bought it for the quality -- I tend to blow through cheaper bags, particularly the zippers, so I wanted something that will last a little longer. Its a pretty rugged bag. I hope to get some years out of it.

After debating jumbo vs mongo for some time I finally landed on getting the mongo knowing that it did not have a carry handle. Something I knew I was going miss and wish was there. However to my surprise Maxpedition has listened to its customers and has quietly added a CARRY HANDLE! Based on reviews all over the net this has been the largest drawback about this bag. However, this is not the case anymore! Although it does have box stitching or anything, I could not be more happy with my decision to get the mongo over the jumbo! Now with a CARRY HANDLE!!!! Way to go Maxpedition!

Love it. This is my EDC, and I feel comfortable carrying this everywhere I go. This is the bag I consider as the home away from home, as it carries basic essentials for everyday survival, as well as my work related gear. Im also carrying around the 10 inch iPad with a folding cover on it, so theres room for that as well. The side water bottle holder can COMFORTABLY fit the 40 oz. wide mouth Klean Kanteen; I could not find any information from anyone else regarding this, so I hope that this helps you out with water bottle choices. Construction is of 1200 Denier cordura, and you can feel like its going to last forever. So far it has been with me to a few festivals, all disc golf outings, camping, work, travel, etc etc; no tears, or rips. You cant go wrong with this bag.

    Greater than one week

I was looking for something more manly, practical and functional as a diaper bag for the coming birth of my son. Most of the other diaper bags sold at big box stores just didnt cut it for me, despite their more affordable price tags. While searching online for something better, I came across this bag. It was hard for me to justify spending the amount of money for this bag, but so far Im pleased with it. Im slowly acquiring the essentials needed for diaper changing and baby cleaning, and it looks like this bag will easily fit them all in a neat, well organized manner. Mind you, its not as big as a large gym bag, but it works for my intended purpose. Its comfortable, and for those who conceal carry, it even includes a zippered compartment close to the body with velcro so that you can attach a velcroed holster to it. The bag also has outer velcro strips so you can also attach velcro patches to customize it to your liking. Once the baby is out of diapers, I intend to use it as I would any other travel bag or range bag. Anyway, if your budget allows for it, Id higly recommend it.

I carry this bag everyday. Holds everything I need for work plus my edc gear. Maxpedition costs more than the cheap knockoffs but I firmly believe you get what you pay for. I will gladly pay a premium once and keep this bag for the long haul.

The color of the bag is khaki, but with quite a greenish hue, making it less attractive than other non-maxpedition bags that I own in khaki. Most khaki bags are more brown than olive. The only actual problem i have is that it seriously needs a carry handle like most other maxpedition bags. Otherwise its as bomb-proof as anything they make and I suspect it will last just as long under rough conditions. Im using it as a manly diaper bag so I suspect Ill hand it down to my kids when they have their own.
