As Far as Moraknivs go I am a big fan. It is tough durable and stands up to the punishment that I have put it through. I use the stainless steel in my everyday food preparation also. If you are looking for the best bang for your buck I recommend you go with Mora. I plan on purchasing more of these for my family members that are big into hunting.

I sharpened this up a bit after I got it, it was already very sharp as it was but now.. wow! perfect skinner.

Knife is 50% sharp or less. Must be sharpened before use. Might cut your finger, but most likely nothing else. Too expensive if I must do my own sharpening.

Fantastic all purpose knife. I use mostly for salt water fishing. Great grip. Secure sheath. It still looks new after 2 years of hard use. Super sharp and holds an edge well. Will buy again when I inevitably lose this one.

As everyone else has said, this knife is fantastic. Ill take off 0.5 stars for not having a flat ground spine for scraping and/or use with a ferro-rod, but it wasnt anything my Dremel couldnt fix in 30 seconds. I love the stainless steel so much, Im probably going to STOP buying carbon steels. I always thought Carbon was superior, but after more research due to loving this knife so much, Stainless Steel can actually be Harder than Carbon in a LOT of situations. Not to mention it doesnt CHIP as easily. I dunno if I can go back to a carbon blade after this. ;) especially for a bushcraft knife. Maybe carbon is handier in a true survival scenario where you have to chop through bricks and chains...but for everyday use, STAINLESS is the way to go!! Great steel, great size, great handle/grip. I plan on getting more of these just for the heck of it.

A pleasure to use. A great utilitarian knife that is effective and handy. Good edge retention and easy enough to resharpen. Scandi grind makes holding the angle easy on the sharpening stone but does require removing a fair bit of steel to reestablish the edge. Worth getting several and giving each one a home in bags and vehicles so one is always handy.

The Morakniv Companion is an all-in-one knife made for outdoor enthusiasts. Equipped with a patterned, high-friction grip, it’s comfortable to hold and easy to handle. It also features a 4.1-inch (104 mm) blade made of high-quality stainless steel. The Companion performs well during high-impact tasks, like creating tinder or cutting wood. When used in wet applications, the blade should be dried thoroughly to prevent blade corrosion and may exhibit a patina or natural discoloration over time. You should also clean and oil your off-grid knives regularly, especially after contact with acidic foods like oranges. Includes a sheath with belt clip.
