> 3 dayJust returned from my first backpacking trip with this knife. The knife came very sharp and worked really well for normal campfire work. I was able to baton easily with this knife then used the resulting tinder to verify the knife was sharp enough to feather some of the kindling to make it super easy to start the campfire. Knife didn’t appear to lose much of its edge after those activities. At $16 on Amazon this was one of the best backpacking buys ever. Just get it!

13-06-2025The Morakniv Companion Fixed Blade good camping knife is light weight and sharp and easy to pack. Its great for camping, fishing and kayaking for what I do. It has kept a good edge and is easy to sharpen. I have bought two of these.

> 3 dayLove these knives but they seem to stain easily. They do stay sharp though.

Greater than one weekI bought 3 other mora knives. 2 of the Heavy Duty style but this one is my favorite. The blade thickness is a little less than that of the HD but fits much more comfortably in my hand as the handle is much smaller.

> 3 dayI really like this knife. I have been buying things for my go-bag and this is now one of my favorite items. I have many knifes and have been wanting a Mora knife for some time. I finally pushed the buy button on Amazon and cant be happier. If you want a sturdy medium size knife for camping of bug-out bag this is a good choice. The quality is very good. Although not a full tang knife there is no doubt of the sturdiness of this product. The sheath is made of plastic with a good belt clip. Not a fancy knife but for the price it is well worth it.

> 3 dayWe bought this for a friend who was going to Patagonia on their bicycle. My wife thought the bright colors were horrible, but I made the case for their finding it in the dark/brush/water if it were dropped. Turns out our friend is using the hell out of it and is a big Mora fan now. They used it to cut open a can of tuna and the thing still works great. Take that, Ginsu! Anyway, as all these positive reviews attest, its probably the best all around outdoor knife you can get for the money. Definitely worth it.
