....because I might mar the beautiful blade! The finish on this blade is the most beautiful Ive seen. Bright polish, beautiful smooth surface. No nicks or mars. And WICKED SHARP. Used this one to open boxes of others. It was begging to be used. The handlevcant compare to the blade in appearance, but it has its own beauty. Fits well. Feels good. Even though it is a smooth hard material, it seems to grip. This thing locks positively into the hard sheath. Its not coming out without a good tug. AND, its a MORA, with that wonderful steel. Mmmmmm. Yes. I want another. Maybe in green.

This is a great knife. It has a clip to keep it on your side. It is sturdy and takes a lot of abuse. We have a small farm and I always keep this with me when I am out and about. A friend bought us the first one we owned about 3 yrs ago and we still have it. Since then we have bought several more and even given these as gifts.

I bought this knife in olive green/drab a few years ago to keep in my truck and use around the farm as a general purpose knife. It cut open countless bags of feed, whittled plenty of sticks, cut lots of cord and rope, and even dressed a couple deer, without losing much sharpness. Unfortunately I dropped it in a field this weekend and havent been able to find it due to it blending in. Fortunately, the replacement was $15 and delivered in one day. This time I went with a brighter color.

I love this knife. Its my go-to fixed-blade camping and backpacking knife, and its good for projects around the house as well. The steel is excellent. It holds an edge for a long time and is easy to sharpen, especially with the Scandinavian grind. The blade itself is great for all kinds of tasks. Its especially great for woodworking tasks like carving, and Ive even split firewood up to 3 inches across with it. Its decent for food prep and slicing, but some slicing tasks are better suited for a thinner blade (I would pair it with a folder). Ive opened boxes with it before, but obviously if you are going to be cutting a lot of paper or cardboard a boxcutter is a better tool. Ive even used it to cut up aluminum cans to make alcohol stoves when I didnt have a better tool around and it did pretty well. The grip is excellent. I like the orange color handle and sheath because its very visible in low light conditions. Ive temporarily lost knives at night after dropping them even with a headlamp on, so visibility is important to me. The grip is not designed for forceful stabbing, but this knife is a utility tool not a weapon so I dont mark it down for that. The grip is good enough that you can perform puncturing tasks as long as youre not ramming it into things. I havent had any issues with the sheath. I always caution people who havent used it before about holding the sheath further down away from the opening so they dont slice their fingers pulling the knife out. As long as youre aware of that, two-handed deployment works fine. If you take advantage of the thumb stub then one-handed deployment works fine as well, especially when youre using the belt clip. I havent experienced the belt clip failing to keep the sheath attached to me. Hard to go wrong with this knife as a good outdoor/utility fixed blade unless youre looking for something heftier. Again, I would pair it with a smaller folding knife for more delicate slicing tasks.

Fantastic knife out of the box. Very nice and sharp edge. Secure comfortable grip. This is a great general purpose outdoors knife. As a knife it falls somewhere between your best non-serrated steak knife and a more substantial survival type sheath knife. It has a strong blade; yet, it is not over-sized or too thick. It is a good balance between the two. I find it a safe and very effective working knife around camp; but, wouldnt be afraid to put it up to more daunting tasks if needed. It is a sturdy knife; yet, functions well in the camp kitchen. The included sheath functions well. The knife is easy to insert and remove; yet, holds securely. If your typical day hike or camp trip includes cutting cordage, chopping vegetables, cutting cheese for crackers, and opening pesky plastic packaging - this is your knife. If you expect to go toe to toe with Rambo or a saber-tooth tiger on TV for show, look elsewhere. Ive been a avid woodsman/backpacker/mountaineer for over 30 years and finally found my perfect knife - and I have owned many good knifes. At the price I paid, around $15, it is an outstanding value.
