Morakniv Companion Sandvik Stainless Steel Fixed-Blade Knife with Sheath, 4.1 Inch

I purchased this knife as a companion to the Morakniv serrated knife. This stainless steel blade felt much sharper. than the serrated blade knife. Dry shaving the back of my hand was even easier and the entire blade was sharp.This sheath is the same as the serrated knife, in a different color, so it also has the assisted opening feature. Place your thumb on the bump at the top of the sheath and your hand on the grip of the knife. Push on the bump with your thumb and pull with your hand and the knife will slide right out of the sheath. Awesome knife, small and compact and my sheath actually retains the knife pretty well. Ive had no complaints so far, but have yet to bring it out on a trip. The steel is great, hope it holds its edge as much as everyones raving about!

Buy a 14 dollar knife at your hardware store and compare to a Mora. Not even on the same planet.

Whats awesome - Comfortable grip and is super sharp right out of the package. I also love that unlike most pink tools/hardware/outdoor products, the pink version of this knife is not an inferior version at a higher price. The bright color makes this knife really hard to loose if you set it down while working. Whats not awesome - The sheath only works if you are right-handed. As far as I can tell, Mora doesnt sell a leftie or ambidextrous version of this knife. The only options seem to be either sucking it up and carrying it on the right side, carrying it backwards, or getting a custom sheath for it (most are more expensive than the knife itself, and half the point was having the brightly colored sheath for extra visibility).

I bought my electric blue Morakniv Companion years ago from another seller. It has held up beautifully and is very durable. I LOVE my Morakniv!
