> 3 dayKnife arrived really dull. Disappointing as I paid 90 bucks for it. For that amount of money a knife should come shaving sharp. Anyway, its basically a Mora knife with a full tang, but for 2 - 3 times the price. There is nothing remarkable about this knife compared to similar knives at a lower price point. Bitching aside, it is a good quality knife, possibly a bit more robust than other Moras, and it feels great in my hands. So in the end its a keeper. Once it has a decent edge that is...

> 3 dayGets near razor sharp and stays that way a long time. Incredibly tough as well, and the handle is big enough for my hands to use comfortably. Thick enough to baton wood and still manages to whittle incredibly well. This is my first time relying on a high carbon steel blade and its only been about six months, so well see what it looks like in two years. But I have taken it fishing several times (oiling after), and it still looks like new. Ive never owned a knife worth more than a buck maybe a buck fifty but this is my favorite so far. (Excluding my Leatherman but thats more of a religious thing.)

16-04-2025If you expect a 90$ k ofe to have a fully sharpened blade and a nice point at the end...stay away from this. It is hefty it is solid but i had to spend 1.5 hrs re profiling the blade as it came with a rounded tip. I had to make sure the knife wasnt a safety knife thats how rounded off it way. Mora quality is slacking

Greater than one weekAppears to be a sturdy that that will be a good tool to have and use. I am not ecstatic about the rubber belt loop on the sheath and I think it will be the weak point of the sheath. The rest of the components are excellent quality and should provide long usefulness. Overall an excellent knife that I will enjoy using.

> 3 dayIts more expensive than you might normally expect from a brand which is famous for extremely efficient manufacturing and surprisingly low prices. But in addition to being a more heavy-use knife, its made a little nicer than a lot of other models. The blade is a perfect piece of work, with crisp perfect bevels and a nice consistent pattern. The thick steel and larger amount of grind work needed for both the blade and the tang probably add to the cost. Compared to a lot of Kabar and Ontario models of similar price, this has a better heat treat job and more precise grinding. It has woodsy durability AND a good hard razor edge. Some notes: 1. The black coating on the carbon model is not a cheap paint job. Its some modern micro-thin but super-hard substance which can provide protection while still being thin enough for the perfect grind pattern of the steel to show through. It looks amazing. 2. Be aware that this is intended for some hefty use, so they made it with a very small secondary bevel at the edge, about the same angle as a normal knife would have. I gave mine a very fine touchup job to give it a super sharp edge. 3. The handle is a single substance, but it is NOT just hard plastic. Its a very hard rubber material which might seem hard at first, but if you thumbnail it you can tell there is a very tiny amount of flexibility. So its not sticky-rubbery like the outer part of models like the Kansbol or Eldris, but its not a hard plastic which will crack if the blade is hammered hard enough to make it flex. This is exactly the right way to make a heavy-duty knife with a molded handle. 4. The knife does have a slight pop when it goes into the sheath, but its much weaker than models with a hard plastic area in the middle of the handle. It wont fall out if you hold it upside-down, but it will fall out if you do that and shake it enough. Get the leather or multi-mount sheath system, both with some form of a snap-over closure, if you plan to do acrobatics. The only thing Im not too thrilled with is the lanyard hole in the handle. Its in a place where my pinky sometimes rests. Other good options, if you somehow just arent sure about this one, are ESEE and Uticas US-made models. Id put them all as roughly tied for first place in the range of $70-100.

19-04-2025I own several Moraknivs, but all are stainless. I purchased this carbon blade to put in a get home bag and to be able to use as a striker for a ferro rod. The price is extremely high in comparison to others in their line. The first one got lost during shipping, and I had to reorder. When it finally arrived, I noticed the handle was made of a much harder plastic than the other Moraknivas that I own. The handle also seemed smaller than the others as well. I could see that it may slip out of your hand if the handle was wet, which could be dangerous with the blade being razor sharp. I will probably add talon grip tape to the handle to improve grip. It is full tang, which is much different than most of their knives. It seems to be a rugged and much more durable knife than the others I own. The plastic sheath is like most Moras and the knife snaps in place. The belt loop is mediocre, but as it is in the bag, so it does not concern me. It is a much better camping knife than a standard Mora. In the past I have taken a mora, but used a different knife for heavier duties. This knife can clean the fish, cut the firewood, light the fire, and assist during food prep. So far, I like it, but it seems to me to be a bit expensive. You can rely on this one knife, so in that respect, it may make it worth it.
