05-06-2025I suspect the one I was sent was used. It was super dull and had trouble cutting the simplest of tasks. It also had weird sticky liquid spots that I had to clean off with alcohol. I bought the stainless version a few weeks back and had none of these issues.

> 3 dayI was excited to see what all the fuss was with the Carbon model of the Garberg. It was shipped in a padded mailer and the knife box was damaged...it had been bent badly. On opening the box I examined the knife and found the DLC coating was missing from the top of the blade. I expect more from a $100 dollar blade, so, I returned it. I also have the Garberg Stainless and the QC on it was marginal as well. The secondary bevel was completely missing for about a half inch near the tip of the blade. I kept this and will turn it into a true Scandi grind without the secondary bevel Mora puts on the blades. Both were dull as butter knives. Mora, please improve your QC.

> 3 dayThis is the best knife on the market. The price is right and the blade is unmatched. Just remember this is high carbon steel and needs to be oiled.

> 3 dayTook this out of the package as soon as it arrived and was shocked/dumbfounded by how blunt it was! It’s about as sharp as a butter knife! I saw a lot of reviews on this knife showcasing how beautifully sharp it was right out of the box so this was one of the reason I got it (the other being that it was full tang and usable with a ferro rod) so I was literally speechless when it wouldn’t even cut through paper. Having just moved out on my own I don’t own a single knife (not even a kitchen one), so I figured I’d get this one which can be used out in the field but also in the kitchen if I needed it. After spending £100 on a knife I didn’t expect to have for fork out more money to buy a knife sharpener and learn how to do it myself, risking ruining the blade.. or having to find and pay someone else to do it. Just so confused as to why a brand new knife with black coating would arrive so blunt, because by sharpening it you end up removing the black coating immediately! Seriously disappointed and frustrated but looking forward to finally being able to use it some day.

> 3 dayTHE ONLY issue I have with his knife is it is an identical match t my other Garberg however I do not think it is a true Mora product as it does not say MORA on it anywhere. I think it is a copy. The sheath and other attachments say Morakniv. If it is a copy it is a good copy at that. I contacted Mora and they indicated no knife of theirs will be shipped without being inspected by at least 4 different people. Not having the name and model engraved on the blade would not pass inspection. It is still a great knife but payed full price as if it was a true Mora. If you compare this knife to my other Garberg they are identical. I just wanted a good backup for a camp knife. I contacted Amazon and had no response.
