> 3 dayIm not a knife guy but I know a good knife when I use one. This knife, full tang, is an excellent value. I have paid considerably more for a knife not as well made as this one.

Greater than one weekWhat a beautiful knife. Full tank is awesome. We all love mora for the price and quality, mora still holding strong to the quality over price ratio. I’m plan for on keeping this for many years to come!

> 3 dayDo not buy the Morakniv Garberg full tang fixed blade with the poly sheath because, the knife falls out of the sheath. The regular poly sheath will not secure the knife from falling out. This is true on both the carbon and the stainless steel Morakniv Garberg full tang fixed blade knife. I own both the carbon and the stainless-steel models of the Morakniv Garberg full tang fixed blade knife. I get the same result with both. The knife just falls out of the regular poly sheath. The regular poly sheath will not secure the knife. Shame on you Moarakniv company for even offering a sheath and knife combination that you knew would not hold the knife securely. And this is supposedly your “Top of the line” offering. This price point you should have a superior base line sheath that will hold the knife under any conditions. About the Morakniv Garberg full tang fixed blade knives themselves. I own both the stainless-steal and carbon models. What can be said that has not already been said by other reviewers. The knives are built well and should last a lifetime. I really enjoy using them and will use them for years. The knife itself is why I am giving it 5 stars. The sheath is obviously not of any value.

> 3 dayDespite reviews to the contrary, this blade is INSANELY sharp. The spine perfectly flat ground with a slight burr to the edge for a Ferro Rod device.

> 3 dayBought this knife because I wanted a good knife for bushcraft. Its not the biggest, but I bought it because it was a carbon steel knife and had a much larger JeoTec no. 45 and wanted something that wasnt quite as big as that. Took it camping and it was definitely a great nice. Not too big but not too small. The handle fits well in my hand and it wasnt too heavy. Came sharp out of the box and was easy to sharpen. Would definitely buy again if I needed it, but thee first one I got has been holding up pretty well, so I probably wont need to buy another one!

> 3 dayExtremely impressive! This has to be the most universal knife that I own. The biggest caution is that it’s a Carbon steel versus Stainless steel. There are 100% pros and cons for each. If you’ve done the research and decide you want a carbon steel blade, you won’t be disappointed with this one.

16-01-2025Good solid knife with a great sheath. The sheath is something most knife makers are not doing a good job with nowadays.

Greater than one weekThis is a fairly sought after tool (Morakniv Garberg 4.3 (if I remember correctly) Carbon Steel Blade Synthetic Multi-Mount Sheath Black) with tons of demonstrations, reviews, critiques, et cetera on the internet so I dont need to go into the details. Its sturdy, holds an edge well, sharpens well...well I dont know that personally but the edge cleans up easily with a very fine stone and strop both with and without varying compounds, the handle is nice enough and useable in all weather...again I havent actually used this in every kind of weather out there. It provides grip and control in the heat with sweaty palms, in the rain, in the cold (my experience includes nothing much below freezing), with the appropriate gloves on for the activities/weather. Obviously the thinner most durable gloves feel the best while using this knife if you cant use the naked hand. I did receive the genuine article and Id gladly take another. I will be purchasing the Stainless Steel version probably with the leather sheath. That would be my single complaint, the sheath I opted for (Theres nothing wrong with it, I just dont like it.)... easily replaceable though. As I meantioned, its a sought after tool and that means there are plenty of leather workers/craftspeople that sell sheaths of a vasque variety and some custom as well. Its a good buy and if its under $80.-$85. USD thats still (mid April 2021) a good deal on this off-the-shelf knife with a couple of sheath options. Morakniv really hasnt ever been a disappointment but this is only my 5th-6th product of theirs. The S.S. version will serve as a backup (nearly no maintenance so its easy to just store and go) to the carbon version. Its another cool knife if nothing else. If you take care of it with caution, maintenance and propper use it can serve every purpose for which it was intended.
