You really must be joking. Mora knows better than this--Im sure of it; and why they put out a superb knife with this whole cockamaime holster which flops around all topsy-turvy when ya walk... I have absolutely know clue. The knife is first rate, and well-made. The holster and its obnoxious and annoying leather strap on the other hand... utterly ruins the whole entire experience, for me. Because it is really just that terrible. The entire plastic sheath--knife and all flops out onto the floor when I walk, and it twirls around out of control. Pathetic engineering of the holster, and stupid!!

Much more than I expected! Not only is this a first-rate bushcraft survival/hunting knife, but as shown in my photos, the sheath also incorporates a built-in diamond sharpening surface (2 1/4 x 3/8-inch) and a (2 1/8 x 1/4 diameter) ferrocerium rod fire starter on a hard band “kit” that can be tapped down and off the belt (up to 2 1/2-inch wide) knife hanging loop sheath. Kit is retained on the sheath by 3 inner tabs that lock into slots on the back of the sheath. Ferro (fire starter) rod is secured in the holder by means of a friction collar at the top of the rod that wedges into the top opening of the kit band. Also included is about 16-inches of reflective cord that I’ll use on the ferro rod. Hanging belt loop is also removable should you prefer a different carry mounting. With a simple to field-sharpen Scandi grind edge on 4.3-inch long 12C27 stainless steel blade that’s topped with a sharp 90-degree angled edge on a 1/8-inch-thick spine, you’re well-equipped for basic bushcraft tasks. You should have no problems throwing a nice shower of flaming metal sparks to help start a fire or using the diamond sharpener to help keep a working edge on this world-class knife. This knife also features what Morakniv calls a “Profile grind” with a drop point blade shape that decreases overall knife weight and lends itself to more delicate camping and food preparation tasks. With the world-renowned Swedish quality found throughout this entire kit, I have no problems recommending this great combo for hikers, hunters, and survivalists alike. Thanks for confirming your vote of “helpful” on my photo and comments. Your personal affirmation of the benefit of my work on your behalf will be noted and is greatly appreciated!

Nice material, nice feel, and sharp blade. Wow, this thing has it all plus a fair price.

I have bought several mora knives in past. I was drawn to this one as perfect blend of weight size and sheath. It is my standard edc trail knife now for backcountry hike and mountain biking. It is light versatile and quality that is perfect.

I seem to have gotten a returned knife. The tip was chipped, like someone tried prying with it, and there were fingerprints and plier marks on the blade. Starting to like Amazon less and less.

I love Morakniv and this knife feels amazing. Arrived very sharp. Had some crazy pattern of stuff on the blade, but after cleaning with oil a few times it finally came off. I’ve had it for a while now and it’s still sharp and strong. I use it a lot so at this point it should have a noticeable amount of wear and tear, but still barely any. After extensive use it’s still a beast. The kit is nice and worth the money. Morakniv is my favorite.

    Greater than one week

The knife was razor sharp out of the box and is light and well balanced. The blades compound grind makes for a great all around camp knife.

My new favorite knife. It is MUCH lighter than I expected! It’s seems to be tough as nails, Comfortable, and looks good. This is my first mora. After Using it. It definitely won’t be my last.

This is a great knife for camping or Bushcrafting. It comes with the knife, the sheath, the ferro rod, and sharpener. The handle of the knife is very nice and it is easy to keep a hold of. The blade itself is stainless steel and the sheath is hard plastic. The only problem Ive had is the point of the blade has gotten two chips in it. Over all I think this is a great knife.

This was my first Mora and after all the stellar reviews, I was super excited to see it arrive today. Ive got to say, however, that my enthusiasm quickly dissipated when I pulled it out out of the sheath. It was immediately obvious from the nicks and fingerprints across the blade, along with the rediculously uneven edge that the quality control was lacking when they finished and packaged mine. Its not that Im somebody who worries about my knives looking pretty, but Id like them to be sharp, and I think quality control is important. You can see in my first picture how there are flattened spots that skip along the edge of the blade. Add to that the fact that the blade is labelled as a carbon steel instead of the stainless I ordered. While I can certainly understand mistakes slipping through the cracks here and there, the combination of obvious issues really became a letdown for me. While there are those who dont care much for the sheath design, I think it will work great for wearing on my belt or carrying in my small bag. Id like to try again, and hope that we can just chaulk this particular knife up to my own bad luck. Hopefully, the second times a winner. ;) Heres hoping!
