> 3 dayThis was my first time mounting a TV, and I have to say, it was much easier than I expected. I placed a 60 Vizio Smartcast TV on it, which weighs around 50lbs. The mount is made extremely well, with incredibly sturdy material. The install was actually pretty easy, too. The hardest part about the entire process was lining everything up on the studs to drill the holes. Other than that, everything was straightforward. It even comes with a template for different stud layouts, which is not entirely necessary to use it if you know distance between your studs. It also comes with a level and a little bubble, but I would highly recommend using a larger level for this, as the packaged ones seemed to be a little off to me. Other than that and a drill, all the other tools and hardware you would ever need come with the box. Once installed, this thing is amazing. It swivels in some pretty crazy directions. It can sit all the way up against your wall, or come out about 16 inches towards you. It can sit straight, or it can look down for those who mount it higher up on their wall. The best part about it is the fact that you can adjust the TVs level after its mounted! It allows you to tilt the TV left or right 3 degrees, even if you somehow placed the mount at a slightly-off angle. Thats pretty sweet. I dont think Id change anything about the mount itself, as it does everything I need it to and more. Perfect.

Greater than one weekJust installed for my 65in. TV. Build quality is excellent. Just mounting wall bracket takes two people. I did it myself put it was some work. One person to hold bracket and the other to screw bolt into stud. Very well designed. I would go with a lighter weight model if you have a 55 in TV. The wall will come down before this puppy will. This model is overkill for a 55in. TV. I like the design as you can slide the TV left or right several inches for centering. Finding the studs can limit how well you can center the TV. Some brackets fold back against the wall but move the TV left or right when TV is against the wall. This brand pulls the TV straight out and back. The instructions need improvement, mostly pictures, some verbage is needed on how to use the template. Biggest problem for me was making sure i was in the center of the stud. Be sure you measure carefully several times as there is not much room for error. I would also recommend that the slot holes be enlarged slightly as the bolt just fits into the slot. A small level is supplied that attaches to the template. Be sure it is precisely centered. A little bit off and the template with not be exactly level. I had to shift the bracket all the way to one side for centering in my application. Doing so caused the mounting bolt head to just clear a metal lip that is located on the top and bottom of bracket. I had difficulty getting my socket wrench onto the bolt head. A socket wrench is supplied but there is no way it will get the bolt into the stud more than a half inch or so. A socket wrench is needed for more leverage. They need to give another 1/8 clearance or so between the lip and bolt head.

> 3 dayI have a 65 LG that I purchased this TV mount for. It fits well, holds the TV with no issue, and has the full range of motion advertised. In fact, it has much more motion than Ill ever need, and can hold the TV out from the wall further than I am comfortable with. It does make back-of-TV access (power cords, HDMI, etc.) much easier. During unboxing/mounting, the pivot arm is still connected to the back plate. It would be much simpler for install if the arm was shipped separate. There are only a few bolts to take this assembly loose and will make the install much easier. General installation note unrelated to the product itself: ensure you have the correct anchoring hardware for installation. We found out we have metal studs, not wood, so we had to go buy different hardware for mounting. Its important to get hardware that will work. If you have to change hardware, also make sure you have the correct washers. Measure 3 times, drill once to avoid extra holes in the apartment walls.

> 3 dayI own a condo where metal studs were used and the stud centers are not the regular 16” or 24”. I wanted to hang my 65” LG TV (65UK6500AUA) to the wall. I read all the reviews and settled on this mount. The amount arrived in just a few days and I unboxed it and found it to be well packed and had every possible mounting screw for the TV included. As to installation, I did not use the template since my studs turned out to be on 18” centers. The hardest part of the installation was determining the height and horizontal location to mount the bracket based on a desired height and location of the TV. While the hardware for mounting to metal studs is not included, you can mount to metal studs if you take the time and effort to mount it properly and use the correct fasteners. I used Hillman ¼” Strap toggles. The strap toggles have a metal end that mates with the back of a metal stud. I used a finish nail to find the edges of the metal studs and drilled a ¼” pilot hole into the metal stud followed up by the ½” hole required by the strap toggle. I used ¼” x 1” fender washers on the ¼” strap toggle bolts. Once the ¼” bolts were loosely installed in the strap toggles, I leveled the mounting plate and tightened down the bolts. Next, I grabbed hold of the mount and put weight on it to make sure it was securely fastened to the studs. Mounting the TV took all of 3 minutes. A few more minutes adjusting the tilt and leveling plat and I was done. Total installation time was about 90 minutes with 20 of the minutes determining the location. I highly recommend this mount.

> 3 dayI installed this for a 75 LG TV. The packaging of the hardware in separate sections is nice, the instructions were clear and accurate, the inclusion of a bubble level and template was very useful. I was able to mount the bracket on my wall by myself by hanging it on one partially screwed in wall bolt, then rotating it in place to put in the other three bolts. I did need help to lift my 100+ lb. TV onto the bracket. The full motion with adjustable tilt and rotation is a good feature. The motion was a little tight, so I loosend some of the nuts to make it move easier. I finally figured out that the included three velcro logo strips were cable ties, there was no identification in the parts list.

> 3 dayI have now installed eight of these mounts on 55” and 65” inch TV’s I am at a loss to know what more I would want in a TV mount The key features are: One-piece long wall plate is all assembled and can be placed on the wall without the TV Includes a cardboard template that makes it easy to predetermine approximately were and what holes you will use to mount the one-piece long wall plate Screws to mount the One-piece long wall plate to studs are included. Two brackets with the necessary screws included attach to your TV and then once attached you can pick up the TV and hang the brackets onto One-piece long wall plate easily. Two tube clips with screws lock those brackets with TV onto wall plate. A lot of extra hardware so you have the right screws and spacers. Things to watch out for: The One-piece long wall plate as delivered is too tight for moving TV once assembled. It is better to loosen the six (6) pivot bolts before mounting the long wall plate on wall (not too much about a turn and a half each. For this you will need a Hex Key Wrench Set and an open end wrench set (strange but true I found two different size nuts). Check the feel of opening the plate before installation. To mount first install the two brackets on your TV then measure from bottom of TV to top of hook on bracket . With that measurement establishing the height of the One-piece long wall plate is easy. I have observed that many people want the TV too high in a living room this will strain the neck. I position the bottom of the TV 46 inches above the floor. A bedroom is different because for two reasons you are lying in bed and occasionally one must look over a too tall belly. I position the bottom of the TV 56 inches above the floor (check for overhead clearance before mounting. Find the wood studs you plan to mount wall plate to. Use the cardboard template to determine the position of the upper left lag screw and which two elongated holes work correctly for your studs. Drill a pilot hole for the first lag screw, then with a washer on the lag screw fasten the upper left side of the wall plate about one turn loose. Use a level to position the wall plate and drill the upper right hole and use a second lag screw with washer. Recheck level; recheck distance from floor to bottom of TV (as planned). Install lag screws three and four. Tighten all lag screws. Then Hang TV then connect TV If for some reason the set is not level this can be adjusted at this point. Remember you may have exposed wires you don’t like. Please see my review of the Datacomm 50-3338-WH-KIT Easy Mount Cable Organizer Kit and PORTER-CABLE 43218 3/16-Inch Piloted Down Spiral Drywall Cutout Bit to help you with that problem Good Luck Mounting to wood studs is easy. I have mounted some to metal studs using 1/4 X 3-1/4 T-Anchors - For Hollow Cavity Applications when you use this part you will need to add a lot of spacers or chase the threads further as the threads have not been chased far enough to tighten the screw. Also after you tighten screw you will probably want to cut off the excess thread.

> 3 dayAfter comparing higher cost equivalents, including one that also allowed for sliding the TV laterally across the length of the mounting bar rail (a feature I would not need), I decided to try this one. This has solid construction and was pretty easy to attach to my 65” OLED LG TV. Wall mounting instructions are clear and the template and small level were a nice convenience. I did not use the included HDMI cable because it was too short to connect to my AVR and it felt flimsy compared to the pair of certified ultra HDMI cables I acquired for this updated HT system I was setting up. The wall base was easier for me to install on my drywall location as it is located in a 3/4 finished basement and I had visible access to the back of the wall to validate stud locations by sight. There are no problems with side to side swivel and front to back motion, Setting the screen tilt angle was a little less intuitive, but not a big challenge and I will not likely change that adjustment now that I have it set. If you do not have previous experience installing a wall mount, reviewing a couple videos on YouTube to see how pros do it may be helpful, as it was for me. A couple I saw clarified how to accurately measure wall bracket placement to end up with your desired TV height. My wife was adamant about wanting a comfortable line of sight so that she did not have to significantly look up to watch the TV. It is common to see pics of TVs mounted high on walls, but some experts suggest having the center of the screen at, or only slightly higher than a straight line view from your normal sitting/viewing position. Their bottom of screen to floor measurement suggestion is around 34-40” and some of the YouTube videos show how to get that adjustment correctly. This screen height also aligns with setting the front mains and center channel speaker height where the tweeter is approximately ear level for optimal listening (as recommended by experts); thus with the aforementioned screen and speaker height suggestionsand setting those would make it so the speakers and screen are ideally placed in the same approximate horizontal axis. Bottom line to this review: Thumbs up on cost, build quality, clear instructions and a feature mix that includes 12+” screen extension from the wall, left and right screen swivel, adequate up and down tilting, and plenty of mounting bolt options that seem to accommodate a wide range of TV brands.

Greater than one weekWe recently got a 75 LG tv and we wanted that big boy up on the wall. Naturally, I was terrified of doing that considering I was convinced it would just rip any mount off of the wall. We also had an issue of size considering we were trying to put the tv in the corner of our room. So we need a full-motion heavy-duty mount that could actually do the job. This mount did the trick! Ill admit installing it was an event and definitely not the easiest because this mount is heavy. All I can say is just make sure you follow the direction ESPECIALLY the troubleshooting section. We ran into the stud issue and needed to get the socket wrench to get it fully in. Only took us like 30 minutes to figure this out... We ended up loving the mount so much we got a second one for our 65 tv. Both are holding strong and they are very sturdy. My only small complaint is the mount on the tv into the wall mount doesnt have a screw or clamp mechanism to hold it. It slides across the mount and while not a huge issue, can be a pain when trying to move the larger TVs around on the full motion range. Overall, a great mount and well worth the investment. Holds up the big tvs and makes the corner area useable too!
