Dont get me wrong; I love these monitors. Theyre very nice, they run at 2k@165hz, wonderful quality to them, and they look stunning! However, the model I got was advertised as a model with HDR, which is why I spent more on this listing than the other MSI models with the exact same specs. The listing says MSI 27” WQHD (2560 x 1440) Non-Glare HDR Ready 165Hz 1000R Curvature 1ms 16:9 AMD FreeSync Premium Height Tilt Adjustment Curved Gaming Monitor (OPTIX G272CQP) I received the OPTIX G271CQP. Not thrilled about the issue but I dont think Ill be returning them until I need to replace them. Thrilled with the quality, not thrilled with the misinformation in the listing.

Let me start off by saying that when I bought this monitor (in August 2022) the price was 200 dollars straight from Amazon; no 3rd party seller. TLDR at the bottom. Pros: - High refresh rate (good for gaming) - 1440p - Good color contrast Cons: - VA panel, this is the biggest con (movement will not look as smooth, even with the high refresh rate. Ghosting WILL occur on this monitor and it will be obvious. I will say however, that if youve never used any other monitors you may not notice the ghosting. This monitor also will flicker under specific circumstances that even Im not aware of, and is not fixable by software updates. It is a hardware issue known to occur in VA panels such as this one) - Backlight bleed is also an issue more commonly occuring with curved VA panels. (this also occurs with IPS panels) Personally this isnt as huge an issue as is the ghosting, and does not bother me one bit. Just know that the backlight bleed will only really be noticeable in dark environments. TLDR: Annoying ghosting issues. Backlight bleed. Good contrast and colors.

Got this monitor for my brand new i7-12700K/RTX 3070 setup. Its very good, has crisp colors and very high contrast, as well as quite a bit of settings you can mess around with to get the display to your liking. Its also very bright and despite the name saying its full HD its 1440p and it also has GSync/FreeSync support. It has a little backlight bleed on several spots on the screen when its not displaying anything, but surprisingly when the screen is showing a very dark image theyre not nearly as noticeable as they seem, it also has a little bit of ghosting at higher framerates. Overall, with the specs it has its probably one of the best monitors you can get for the price unless you decide to go past the $400 price range.

The refresh rate only goes up to 60hz unless you have it on 1080p.... why pay more for 1440p if you cant use it and even on 1080p it only gets 120hz

MSI greatly confused me on my hunt for a new monitor around the $300 range. They had Full HD and 2560x1440p in the same title, and they appeared to even have duplicate models on the site. I ordered this monitor early this week and was pleased to see it had actually arrived today in basically perfect condition. The monitor is identified as 165hz and it definitely feels like it. I can feel the difference between my old 1080p monitor and this 1440p panel right away. Honestly for ~300 dollars this will be the best to get. The curved display is not dramatic and is not something that will disrupt the way you compute. Looking forward to what I do with this monitor!

Easy to assemble, great refresh rates even at 1440p and works perfectly with one of the new xbox’s or a high end gaming pc
