> 3 dayI used this stuff on my PC in ~2012. 8 years later, had to reseat the heatsink, the stuff was still moist underneath. Unbelievable. Of course, Im going to use it again. I appreciate how it came with instructions on how to spread the paste depending on your CPU type.

Greater than one weekI loooove this product. I have been routinely using Arctic Silver thermal paste thought my years as a PC hobbyist and I love it. It applies easily and works well for years at a time.

Greater than one weekReally liked this product. Paste easy to squeeze out and cap is secure, so paste does not dry out. You get a good amount and it was easy to put on my CPU and use the tool to get it evenly spread across. I would be buying this product again. Great value and a good price.

> 3 dayThis stuff is exactly what I like in a thermal paste. It goes on easy, and spreads nicely with the included brush. Best of all, it kept temps lower than the factory paste on the fan. Highly recommend.

19-11-2024I was happy with this product but I feel like some people think they are getting more than what they are. The tube is about 1 1/2 inches long and the actual paste is kind of hard to spread. It worked fine but I don’t think it should have costed the $7 we paid for it.

Performance
3 to 12 degrees centigrade lower CPU full load core temperatures than standard thermal compounds or thermal pads when measured with a calibrated thermal diode imbedded in the CPU core.
Coverage Area: A 3.5 gram syringe contains enough compound to cover at least 15 to 25 small CPU cores, or 6 to 10 large CPU cores, or 2 to 5 heat plates. At a layer 0.003" thick, the 3.5 gram syringe will cover approximately 16 square inches

Arctic Silver 5 does not contain any silicone. The suspension fluid is a proprietary mixture of advanced polysynthetic oils that work together to provide three distinctive functional phases. As it comes from the syringe, Arctic Silver 5"s consistency is engineered for easy application. During the CPU"s initial use, the compound thins out to enhance the filling of the microscopic valleys and ensure the best physical contact between the heatsink and the CPU core. Then the compound thickens slightly over the next 50 to 200 hours of use to its final consistency designed for long-term stability. (This should not be confused with conventional phase change pads that are pre-attached to many heatsinks. Those pads melt each time they get hot then re-solidify when they cool.
The viscosity changes that Arctic Silver 5 goes through are much more subtle and ultimately much more effective.)
