    Great looking product, loved all the marketing information & what it could do - felt like it was a bargain. But I was unable to connect the scanner & get it working (I am an ex-techie with a better than average technical grasp on hardware / software). I couldnt connect - tried USB / Wireless / 2 different machines / factory resets etc. So I thought Id try Neat Technical Support. Like most companies they hide their support number. I tried to Chat (message said they closed at 6pm even though it was 5.45pm) - I tried their phone number but eventually got the message I needed to submit a support ticket. When trying to submit a support ticket, there was no submit button available (using MSFT Edge). Felt like a conspiracy! None of their self help actually tell you what to do if it doesnt work - only how it SHOULD work. For $300+ I expected better. Terrible experience & Im sending it back.

    Not loving it so far... doesnt work very well with receipts & software isnt great at working with the scanner and it does nothing to organize in any fashion. Super expensive scanner basically that I am on the verge of returning.

    This is a WASTE of a machine. I bought this after having a pretty good experience with the Neat Desktop. I needed a machine that would upload directly to Google Drive. Neat advertises this as a CLOUD scanner, yet it doesnt work! Here is the email text I just received from their customer support Thank you for contacting Neat. We’re very sorry for any inconvenience this issue has caused you. We are currently experiencing connectivity issues which affect adding Dropbox and OneDrive as a destination on the NeatConnect Scanner. An update will be provided once a solution is identified. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue. However, there isn’t an ETA. Thank you for contacting us, Victor V. -Neat’s Customer Care DO NOT spend the money on this scanner! It is NOT worth it!

    Bought it in January 2014. Immediately got it connected to Neats cloud and my Dropbox but not my email. Each time I tried to connect to my email I got a message that my password was incorrect -- it wasnt Two weeks later, I couldnt connect with my Dropbox. Tried to call customer service but they dont want to talk to you so you have to email them. But they never respond. Have spent my business partners time, other staff time, my IT consultants time and my time to figure out whats wrong and still no help from NEAT. Run away fast -- very fast. I want a refund

    Its a great scanner, but the input screen is WAY too small. And currently they are having issues with their new web based software crashing with Mac. I contacted them and they confirmed it. Its crashing on both of my MacBook Airs. Also, if would be really good if you could add email addresses in the web app that would show up in the scanner for convenience of scanning to email addresses. This would prevent you from having to input on that tiny screen with your fingers. Its really easy to hit the wrong buttons. That part was really not well planned, but Im assuming its a pretty easy fix in the software.

    This was a great product combined with the Neat Receipts desktop software and the they decided to water it down with forcing users to use Neat Cloud. This is a case of good company too arrogant for their own good. The last desktop version is slim down of neat cloud. Here are the top issues. 1. No, you cannot use files created by previous versions. Have to import everything. 2. The software fails to scan and OCR a single document, yes just 1 page document 3. Ah the import, does not work. It may show something imported but no psd files 4. There is is no way you can add custom columns to see complete information. You have to open each individual line item and fill in the fields. That too has limitations as all the fields are not visible and you have to click again to open that view. Now why would you take a functional in-line editing and make adding I formation almost impossible. 5. You cannot add one note or some times one drive could account b/c they keyboard never shows up. I loved this software and my neat scanner since it was a useful tool to run my business. I would gladly pay subscription fee as well but at least there should be some useful functionality. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone who wants to get any work done.

    We purchased this scanner with high hopes, which were set from doing a LOT of investigation into scanners of this sort. But, Neat won out against the competitors, because it claimed to be the best at integrating with QuickBooks Online. It did integrate but it was more like using Dropbox and a regular old scanner than anything special, as the marketing would suggest it is. Also, our scanner broke a couple of months later. And, it could never hook up to the internet...not once...ever. Because we not only were sold a lie, but also the machine never worked right and now is truly just broken, we contacted Neat. We dont want the machine. It is worthless. They will not help us. We bought it through Amazon, so they blame Amazon. But, this is not appropriate as #1. it is a Neat problem, #2 it wasnt an Amazon product - it was a Neat product (sold by Neat thru Amazon). Then, they said its been too long. We only had 1 month to make a decision if it was worth it. Ridiculous. I want my money back. It was a bad sale and isnt making anyone happy and Neat customer service is doing nothe

    initial feedback from someone who has tried a lot of scanners: this is a great scanner in that it operates stand alone: it does not require a PC to email or store scans: I bought (and still own) a Fujitsu Scan-snap scanner which is great but you need to have it connect to a PC first: the NEAT can scan and email directly: exactly what I was looking for: the touchscreen is modeled after the iPhone which works for me. Please note these are my initial impressions and I reserve the right to change/ embellish but first impressions are important: this scanner is so easy to operate, once set up, that almost anyone can use it: my main use is scan and email i think it should have a wired Ethernet port too but not a big deal: wireless works fine at work we have Cannon copiers that also scan and email and everyone loves them compared to dedicated PC scanners that always seem to be problematic: the NEAT gives me this feature in my home office: it works!!

    This scanner is a complete piece of crap. It worked for about 3 days, kind of. It does not auto populate anything correctly. It doesnt scan business cards well at all. You have to review and fix every single item you put through the thing. On top of that my scanner completely stopped connecting to wifi. Ok, Ill reconnect it right? Wrong! Every time I go to the setting it gives me a message that tells me that this is where I choose a wifi network and then it kicks me back out to the previous screen without ever giving you a choice of a network!!!!!! On top of that the computer application is now completely blank! Just a white screen! Next step is contacting customer support right? Wrong! You have to pay for customer support!!!! The piece of crap neat connect thing even gave me a phone number to call at one point which I called and fought with a terrible automated system for 15 minutes going in circles only to have it hang up on me! So I sent an email on the 21st of June and it is now the 27th and I still havent gotten a response! The online chat doesnt work, its only for them to sell you customer service and more crappy add ons. Basically any product that ever charges you for support probably sucks and is going to need it. Save your money and get something that works and isnt a complete scam!

    This is a great tool. Very fast. My only complaint is that it struggles a certain brand of plain printer paper that a vendor sends us. I wish I knew the brand -- it seems like a normal piece of paper, but only their invoice get jammed in this device.
