NeatConnect Cloud Scanner and Digital Filing System for PC and Mac, 6003875

I was having issues uploading my receipts after scanning. I went on live chat support and within about 10 minutes the problem was solved. Val was very professional and very easy to work with. I have found the Neat support staff to be very helpful.

The scanner itself works well and is fast.... thats where the positives end. The OCR capability of the software is completely worthless for anything but receipts. Ive watched all their help videos, sent an email with no response and waited in the queue for their online chat for over an hour.... When I scan business documents such as invoices or statements from vendors, there is no apparent reason why the software picks what it does to be the date or amount. There is no way the user can see the fields that it is selecting, why it is selecting those and not others nor try to get it to change. I would think that a basic requirement of such software would be a display of the document showing OCR fields where the user could identify and name them. No such thing exists, at least so far as any of their help, videos, FAQs or instructions indicate. With no functional OCR capability, this thing amounts to no more than a very, very expensive scanner. Id give it zero stars if I could.

This is a terrible document scanner; standard letter paper jams all the time. Takes 3-4 attempts to scan a document. Touch interface on the front is way too small to type email addresses. Cloud software is a joke, if it cant recognize the document it shows up as unknown, with no easy way to identify the document. Technical support will ask you to take apart your scanners and rotate and bend things to temporarily fix the issue. Worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon.

I purchased the Neat Connect for my business. This scanner is NOT worth the price. The paper feed mechanism is poorly designed so I consistently have issues with paper jams - yes, I have read the instructions and that still doesnt help. The resolution quality is poor even on the highest setting of 600 DPI. If you are wanting to email scans directly to yourself instead of using the Neat cloud-based system, you must limit the number of sheets to under 10 because the file size becomes to large to email even at the lowest resolution setting. I imagine this is intentional to force users to utilize the cloud-based system provided by Neat. Whether something is scanned in portrait or landscape is completely random and I have yet to find a setting to force scans in portrait format.

No was not happy at all The unit was sold as new and when I went to use it there was some one else info in it and could not get it to work even calling neat Co and spending 2 hrs on the phone it did not work as it may have been returned for that reason . Should not have been sold for new

I have really enjoyed using the NeatConnect, as it has definitely made my life easier, especially with regard to scanning receipts. It worked beautifully until a couple of weeks ago, when the scans began to blur in the middle of the scan. I contacted customer service and they promptly began to advise me on different ways to fix the issue. However, the scanner could not be fixed. They have already sent out a replacement at no cost. Thank you, Neat, for standing behind your product! It was a pleasure to work with the customer service department.

Its a great scanner, but the input screen is WAY too small. And currently they are having issues with their new web based software crashing with Mac. I contacted them and they confirmed it. Its crashing on both of my MacBook Airs. Also, if would be really good if you could add email addresses in the web app that would show up in the scanner for convenience of scanning to email addresses. This would prevent you from having to input on that tiny screen with your fingers. Its really easy to hit the wrong buttons. That part was really not well planned, but Im assuming its a pretty easy fix in the software.

This is a great tool. Very fast. My only complaint is that it struggles a certain brand of plain printer paper that a vendor sends us. I wish I knew the brand -- it seems like a normal piece of paper, but only their invoice get jammed in this device.

I must admit that I was reluctant to try Neat System and Cloud Scanner after reading all of the less than favorable reviews here. However, I also researched many neutral consumer reviews and consistently found the Neat system, specifically the Cloud Scanner, at the top of most of the reviews. So, after weeks of research, I finally made the decision to move forward with my purchase. After nearly one month of pretty heavy usage, I have found the Neat System and Cloud Scanner to perform beautifully. I had hundreds of receipts and documents that I had saved over the course of the year and have input each and every one of them, without one single problem. The scanner is fast, accurate and works perfectly. The Neat filing system overall is extremely easy to use and has been a blessing in helping me organize all of my business related receipts and documents, as well as my personal documents. I can now easily access my files from any computer, including my smart phone to view, modify or input documents and run reports. I had thought about purchasing the Neat System and scanner for quite some time and my only regret at this point is that I waited so long. Well done, Neat! Thank you.

Let me start out by saying this is a very well made scanner. But they could really work on the software. The scans all need some attention, you will need to make sure you re-analyze multiple times and manually grab fields you want to track. For the price I was expecting more but what I got was a glorified scanner that has an all in one software organizer. It is not very intelligent you could get the same results with any hp all in one printer and save your docs to a one drive or drop box if you need to access them on the cloud.
