> 3 dayWe purchased this scanner with high hopes, which were set from doing a LOT of investigation into scanners of this sort. But, Neat won out against the competitors, because it claimed to be the best at integrating with QuickBooks Online. It did integrate but it was more like using Dropbox and a regular old scanner than anything special, as the marketing would suggest it is. Also, our scanner broke a couple of months later. And, it could never hook up to the internet...not once...ever. Because we not only were sold a lie, but also the machine never worked right and now is truly just broken, we contacted Neat. We dont want the machine. It is worthless. They will not help us. We bought it through Amazon, so they blame Amazon. But, this is not appropriate as #1. it is a Neat problem, #2 it wasnt an Amazon product - it was a Neat product (sold by Neat thru Amazon). Then, they said its been too long. We only had 1 month to make a decision if it was worth it. Ridiculous. I want my money back. It was a bad sale and isnt making anyone happy and Neat customer service is doing nothe

> 3 dayI must admit that I was reluctant to try Neat System and Cloud Scanner after reading all of the less than favorable reviews here. However, I also researched many neutral consumer reviews and consistently found the Neat system, specifically the Cloud Scanner, at the top of most of the reviews. So, after weeks of research, I finally made the decision to move forward with my purchase. After nearly one month of pretty heavy usage, I have found the Neat System and Cloud Scanner to perform beautifully. I had hundreds of receipts and documents that I had saved over the course of the year and have input each and every one of them, without one single problem. The scanner is fast, accurate and works perfectly. The Neat filing system overall is extremely easy to use and has been a blessing in helping me organize all of my business related receipts and documents, as well as my personal documents. I can now easily access my files from any computer, including my smart phone to view, modify or input documents and run reports. I had thought about purchasing the Neat System and scanner for quite some time and my only regret at this point is that I waited so long. Well done, Neat! Thank you.

Greater than one weekinitial feedback from someone who has tried a lot of scanners: this is a great scanner in that it operates stand alone: it does not require a PC to email or store scans: I bought (and still own) a Fujitsu Scan-snap scanner which is great but you need to have it connect to a PC first: the NEAT can scan and email directly: exactly what I was looking for: the touchscreen is modeled after the iPhone which works for me. Please note these are my initial impressions and I reserve the right to change/ embellish but first impressions are important: this scanner is so easy to operate, once set up, that almost anyone can use it: my main use is scan and email i think it should have a wired Ethernet port too but not a big deal: wireless works fine at work we have Cannon copiers that also scan and email and everyone loves them compared to dedicated PC scanners that always seem to be problematic: the NEAT gives me this feature in my home office: it works!!

18-11-2024This is a terrible document scanner; standard letter paper jams all the time. Takes 3-4 attempts to scan a document. Touch interface on the front is way too small to type email addresses. Cloud software is a joke, if it cant recognize the document it shows up as unknown, with no easy way to identify the document. Technical support will ask you to take apart your scanners and rotate and bend things to temporarily fix the issue. Worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon.

> 3 dayI love my NeatConnect Cloud Scanner. It has made my life so much easier. It has a kind of intelligence that gets most things filed correctly, and you can move stuff around easily if it gets it wrong. My only complaint with this scanner is the size of the screen. Even though I wanted to use it as a Cloud scanner, I wound up hooking it up to my computer anyway to get things filed correctly. That small complaint is about it. The rest of the technology is fabulous.

> 3 dayInitially this worked great. It really helped me to go paperless and move everything to the cloud...until a couple of months ago it stopped being able to upload to Evernote. Apparently a lot of people are having the same problem because the discussion boards are full of some really upset people. The company isnt very good at communicating what they are doing to fix the problem or if they are doing anything to fix the problem. Emails to them only generate canned responses.

> 3 dayThe scanner never worked. I didnt open the box until after the 60 day period but I wasnt overly concerned because I had purchased the additional 2-year warranty. When I did open the box I found that I could not get past the initial set-up screen. I go through the set-up and get to the screen that says, Scan. I hit the Scan button and ... nothing. The screen is greyed out and there is no way to back out of that screen or do anything other than power down the machine. When you turn it back on, its Groundhogs Day, you start the set-up process all over again and the same thing happens every time that you hit, Scan. Its a scanner that cant scan. There is no Customer Support available through Neat. I tried to use the 2-year warranty that I purchased but it doesnt cover products that didnt work from day 1. If it never worked then you have to take up your complaint directly with the manufacturer but, guess, what? Youll never get in touch with the manufacturer. They dont have an 800 number. Thats right, its 2015 and they dont have a way to call them. When I try to send an email to Customer Support, I get an error message. When I looked at the Site Map to find a number for Customer Support the only page for Customer Support is a page of reviews of their Customer Support and how wonderful it is. What? How can it be wonderful? I cant get to it. I literally have to junk a brand new, fresh-out-of-the-box machine - a machine for which I paid nearly $500. Its insane.

21-11-2024The scanner itself works well and is fast.... thats where the positives end. The OCR capability of the software is completely worthless for anything but receipts. Ive watched all their help videos, sent an email with no response and waited in the queue for their online chat for over an hour.... When I scan business documents such as invoices or statements from vendors, there is no apparent reason why the software picks what it does to be the date or amount. There is no way the user can see the fields that it is selecting, why it is selecting those and not others nor try to get it to change. I would think that a basic requirement of such software would be a display of the document showing OCR fields where the user could identify and name them. No such thing exists, at least so far as any of their help, videos, FAQs or instructions indicate. With no functional OCR capability, this thing amounts to no more than a very, very expensive scanner. Id give it zero stars if I could.

> 3 dayThis is a great tool. Very fast. My only complaint is that it struggles a certain brand of plain printer paper that a vendor sends us. I wish I knew the brand -- it seems like a normal piece of paper, but only their invoice get jammed in this device.
