> 3 dayIt scans quickly but the customer support is non-existent after a few months. This is an issue since it seems to get knocked offline and I still cant figure out how to scan directly to dropbox as their ad states. You can scan to an ftp server and pull it to your computer, or you can scan to send via email, or you can scan to the memory and then disconnect from the internet and connect to the scanner then go to their neat connect interface and find you scans then click the scan to open and then save as pdf to your machine. However, their interface leaves much to be desired. It doesnt scan things in order of time and it saves everything you have to manually delete things one at a time from the scanner and not from the online interface connection. There fore sometimes I go to try to find a scan and its not at the top of the list though I just scanned it, its somewhere else and I have to keep clicking to open different files because the naming structure is also not able to be changed on the scanner and you cant tell one file from another. Not so great or easy but once the software interface is upgraded and/or you can put your dropbox information in and scan directly to a dropbox file it will be a great product.

> 3 dayBiggest piece of JUNK you can buy, I am now on my 6th replacement unit in 15 months, they operate anywhere from as long as 3 months to as little as 2 days. I added battery back up and surge protection at a significant cost thinking just maybe some weird thing was going on, I mean one or two bad ones I could believe....but 6 bad ones? I operate a small business and scan on average 75 documents a day. Error commonly is : NO image or Unable to detect paper. Customer support is terrible, email support is slow 48-72hrs, once you have a case # you get to talk to an overseas person scripted and running you through a mandated set of try this and do this nonsense which results in ultimately 2 days later a replacement scanner arriving. I know there troubleshooting better than they do now. Terrible, I mean outrageous service. Had I done my homework and read other review sites, I would have never bought this, in fact it was so bad I had two, one to use as a back up every time one failed, then today one day after installing the second one it failed. paperweight at best. Get a fujitsu or a Panasonic . The Neat software is pretty good, their cloud service is slow at best and the hardware is pure JUNK!

> 3 dayThe wifi scanner is great and its a breeze to drop papers of all sizes in and have them scanned. Where this thing fails miserable is on the web site where your scans appear. The interface is lousy, and while it does a nice ATTEMPT at scanning the contents of your docs, where it fails is the process to organize and store your files. Lots of needless clicking, sorting and confirming, etc. It really should used more of a desktop motif where you can just drag and rename files and sort them as you see fit. It takes multiple clicks to name and sort a single file. If you were hoping to do a quick sort of dozens of pages forget it, youll give up after 3. Its a shame. Ill probably unload my scanner on ebay and call it a loss

Greater than one weekThis is a WASTE of a machine. I bought this after having a pretty good experience with the Neat Desktop. I needed a machine that would upload directly to Google Drive. Neat advertises this as a CLOUD scanner, yet it doesnt work! Here is the email text I just received from their customer support Thank you for contacting Neat. We’re very sorry for any inconvenience this issue has caused you. We are currently experiencing connectivity issues which affect adding Dropbox and OneDrive as a destination on the NeatConnect Scanner. An update will be provided once a solution is identified. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue. However, there isn’t an ETA. Thank you for contacting us, Victor V. -Neat’s Customer Care DO NOT spend the money on this scanner! It is NOT worth it!

> 3 dayGreat looking product, loved all the marketing information & what it could do - felt like it was a bargain. But I was unable to connect the scanner & get it working (I am an ex-techie with a better than average technical grasp on hardware / software). I couldnt connect - tried USB / Wireless / 2 different machines / factory resets etc. So I thought Id try Neat Technical Support. Like most companies they hide their support number. I tried to Chat (message said they closed at 6pm even though it was 5.45pm) - I tried their phone number but eventually got the message I needed to submit a support ticket. When trying to submit a support ticket, there was no submit button available (using MSFT Edge). Felt like a conspiracy! None of their self help actually tell you what to do if it doesnt work - only how it SHOULD work. For $300+ I expected better. Terrible experience & Im sending it back.

> 3 dayThe scanner never worked. I didnt open the box until after the 60 day period but I wasnt overly concerned because I had purchased the additional 2-year warranty. When I did open the box I found that I could not get past the initial set-up screen. I go through the set-up and get to the screen that says, Scan. I hit the Scan button and ... nothing. The screen is greyed out and there is no way to back out of that screen or do anything other than power down the machine. When you turn it back on, its Groundhogs Day, you start the set-up process all over again and the same thing happens every time that you hit, Scan. Its a scanner that cant scan. There is no Customer Support available through Neat. I tried to use the 2-year warranty that I purchased but it doesnt cover products that didnt work from day 1. If it never worked then you have to take up your complaint directly with the manufacturer but, guess, what? Youll never get in touch with the manufacturer. They dont have an 800 number. Thats right, its 2015 and they dont have a way to call them. When I try to send an email to Customer Support, I get an error message. When I looked at the Site Map to find a number for Customer Support the only page for Customer Support is a page of reviews of their Customer Support and how wonderful it is. What? How can it be wonderful? I cant get to it. I literally have to junk a brand new, fresh-out-of-the-box machine - a machine for which I paid nearly $500. Its insane.

> 3 dayThis scanner is a complete piece of crap. It worked for about 3 days, kind of. It does not auto populate anything correctly. It doesnt scan business cards well at all. You have to review and fix every single item you put through the thing. On top of that my scanner completely stopped connecting to wifi. Ok, Ill reconnect it right? Wrong! Every time I go to the setting it gives me a message that tells me that this is where I choose a wifi network and then it kicks me back out to the previous screen without ever giving you a choice of a network!!!!!! On top of that the computer application is now completely blank! Just a white screen! Next step is contacting customer support right? Wrong! You have to pay for customer support!!!! The piece of crap neat connect thing even gave me a phone number to call at one point which I called and fought with a terrible automated system for 15 minutes going in circles only to have it hang up on me! So I sent an email on the 21st of June and it is now the 27th and I still havent gotten a response! The online chat doesnt work, its only for them to sell you customer service and more crappy add ons. Basically any product that ever charges you for support probably sucks and is going to need it. Save your money and get something that works and isnt a complete scam!

> 3 dayIts a great scanner, but the input screen is WAY too small. And currently they are having issues with their new web based software crashing with Mac. I contacted them and they confirmed it. Its crashing on both of my MacBook Airs. Also, if would be really good if you could add email addresses in the web app that would show up in the scanner for convenience of scanning to email addresses. This would prevent you from having to input on that tiny screen with your fingers. Its really easy to hit the wrong buttons. That part was really not well planned, but Im assuming its a pretty easy fix in the software.

Greater than one weekI have really enjoyed using the NeatConnect, as it has definitely made my life easier, especially with regard to scanning receipts. It worked beautifully until a couple of weeks ago, when the scans began to blur in the middle of the scan. I contacted customer service and they promptly began to advise me on different ways to fix the issue. However, the scanner could not be fixed. They have already sent out a replacement at no cost. Thank you, Neat, for standing behind your product! It was a pleasure to work with the customer service department.
