> 3 dayAs an unmanaged switch - what can I say? Just plug in your devices and it either works or not. We used this to replace another brand that crapped out. Worked great - nice quality box.

> 3 dayI have 1 connection coming in to my office and added a server with 4 gigabit ethernet ports, on-top of my desktop. Has done, and is doing a great job. Speedtest.net shows I can get a top speed of up-to about 980Mbps on my 1G AT&T fiber connection (both upload and download). I find it interesting that my upload speed is often quite a bit higher than my download speed which shows that the switch is not getting in the way. This was good news for my new server to be able to achieve the throughput I need through the fiber connection. Just for fun I connected to a server in Poland and was able to get nearly 300Mbps download and over 600Mbps upload. A German server showed pretty similar results suggesting that the speed may be more related to traffic than my broadband connection. But I digress...

> 3 dayI needed this switch to get more ethernet ports in an open room space. I went with Netgear because of Brand recognition and was not disappointed, Easy to setup, true Plug and play, strong metal build. Got speed as advertised, still going strong after almost two years of use.

Greater than one weekAll the wired connections in my LAN run through this hub which is used to distribute the gigabit fiber internet connection from my EERO Pro 6. The Netgear 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS308) handles this task effortlessly. I plugged it in more than 3 months ago and it has been running continuously without any drama. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayIve been using TPLink brand 8 port switch, but when I added another switch in the home network, its speed went down to 100Mbps. After restart, Gbps speed stays a few minutes then goes back down to 100Mbps. I got this Netgear switch almost at the same price, but much better quality in and out. It stays Gbps speeds constantly. Five stars to Netgear. Good job...

> 3 dayI had an older 8-channel ethernet switch which seemed to have occasional dropouts. It was also running warm. This was truly plug and play. I did not have to anything other than plug it into an AC outlet then plug in the ethernet cables and it worked as it was supposed to.
