Nikon AF S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G Fixed Lens with Auto Focus for Nikon DSLR Cameras

Amazing lens for portrait.

Had a lot of different 85mm, including 85mm 1.4 Canon, Nikon and Sigma.

Recently purchased. From the photos I have taken, I can honestly say this is my best lens. The image is sharp where it is meant to be sharp and the bokeh is awesome.

Bereits an APS-C Kameras macht dieses Objektiv super Fotos, aber an Vollformat kommt dessen Qualität erst richtig zur Geltung.

Soy fotógrafo de boda y si no quieres gastar muchísimo dinero en un lente de alcance y luminoso, esta es tu opción. El 85 mm te da un alcance increíble y una luminosidad aún mejor. Ideal para retratos y foto social. Es muy nítido inclusive a 1.8. Mi lente favorito, sin duda.

Amazing for the price, can barely tell the difference between this and the much more expensive 1.4. LOVE! My new favorite lens:)

Great portrait lens. A must-have for any Nikon photographer who shoots portraits, unless you can afford the f/1.4.

Im a working in progress photographer, I did my research before I chose this lens, then I ordered it and couldnt wait to get delivered to my home. well when it came I took it out of the box and liked how it felt, so I decided to give it some test shots with my D7000, I was greatly impressed with this lens is a very sharp lens and takes wonderful pictures, With the AF-S this lens has auto fast focusing, there is no VR on the lens which forces me to fine tune my movement and to not rely so much on my equipment to be able to make great shots but having good equipment helps. If a person had the money they could get the 85mm f/1.4 which some say is sharper lens, but I think that both lens run pretty much neck in neck with each other, but again that is just my opinion. I have been using this lens as my carry around lens, and I enjoy it very much. A person would not be disappointed getting this lens.

Amazingly sharp, decent enough build quality for typical use, excellent value for money.
